1 year at $900k seems like a good deal. Should fit in well on the bottom pairing with Eminger, and Woywitka sliding to the #7 spot until Staal is back.

Agreed. Not unhappy with the signing. A bit cheaper than I thought it would be.

Rangers beat writer Andrew Gross saying the Rangers aren't confirming it yet. Possibly working out final details I suppose.

He'll need some protection, very weak so he can get pushed off the puck.

Not great defensively but he can put up some offense, not a bad signing.

Anyone know if Stralman will push MDZ off the top power play?

Very doubtful. He will probably see time on the second unit.

Eh, I like Stralman. This is a good move. One year, cheap, low risk and moderate potential reward. He can help the transition game a little and play on the 2nd PP a bit.

Not expecting much from him when the likes of the Leafs, Jackets, and Devils, who all needed a player like him, gave up on him.

Why? I mean he hasn't got an NHL contract even though the season has started, he's not exactly working with a ton of leverage.

He waited quite a bit to sign the contract.

I think MDZ and McDonagh from what I've seen so far early in the season are much better options offensively than Stralman. I know McDonagh is stuck playing more EV and SH but should probably get higher priority on the PP as well instead of Stralman, the results would be better.

But MAB is putting up like a ppg so you never know (Stralman has never been as good as MAB though).

Decent signing that's sure lit a fire under Woywitka - he's scored a goal tonight.

As long as he and Del Zotto aren't paired together, I'm good with it.

No Eminger? I would think he's a better option than Woywitka.
