I'll just be getting up for work at 3:30 a.m. No game for me tonight, but def looking forward to Saturdays match up against LA.

Wonder if Jumbo Joe will call the Pens soft after the Sharks lose tonight...

I saw that two different ways...

I'm loving if the Sharks have a little edge to them. They've sat back and dominated the season and came up short time and time and time again. If they have a "**** it" attitude, I'm all for it. Now maybe the soft Jumbo Joe shouldn't be saying it, but who cares? If the locker room sees their captain like that, they'll get behind him.

The Rangers really aren't that great of a team. I'd be a bit frustrated myself losing to them.

If Staal's not in tonight, I don't expect much. It's going to take a dominant effort from our top line to match SJ's stacked top 6.

Yeah, especially after doing so well for the majority of their road trip. Ending it on that note must have been disappointing.

Good points Cole. I really saw no big deal in what Joe said, but obviously it would rub most coaches the wrong way. Especially a guy like Torts.

You lucky dog! Post pictures in thread (preferably of hot women) as game goes on... you're from LA so that means you have a least 1 iPhone, right?

Let's go boys! Win tonight!

Might actually be able to watch this one if the campus servers hold up; cross your fingers.

On ESPNs front page... they have a piece on tonight's game. They also have video of the hit from Engo on Crosby.

Nice video. Check it out. (I know.. I know.. we hate ESPN)

Oh and by the way, this matchup is what I have pegged as my Stanley Cup Final.

Oh yeah, there's a game to be played tonight! Almost forgot what that's like. Hopefully, we'll go to bed late but happy.

I find it pretty sad that Thornton had to apologize publicly for calling another team 'soft'. That is so lame. Sometimes, hockey players (and hockey people) need to be reminded that this is a tough sport played by men. Not choirboys.

Sheesh.

I don't hate ESPN.

Hope Sid is doing well. Very disappointed that we won't get to see him on the ice tonight, but it should be a good one either way. Good luck to you guys.

This would be my SCF for this year. SJ stacked up front and solid defensivley and they have a similar ethics to us. Shame I can't watch as I haven't seen a hockey game for a while but that's due to Pittsburgh having a long hiatus and me having a job.

Can't wait to see this defense against a team with that kind of size and speed. Also a pretty big Pat Marleau fan. I was really POed he didn't make it to FA status a few years back.

I saw it on ESPNews earlier today (the video). I wasn't paying attention, but Engelland put somebody in a headlock and laughed maniacally.

I remember when center depth was our biggest strength.

Now a guy who played in the Swiss league last year is our de facto 2nd line center.
