Lavy was pissed about JVR's game, called him after the game, they had a meeting the next day. Fine. Issue over.

JVR took morning skate, regular pre-game preparations, went to the warm up, felt not 100%, made mention to staff and they said better be safe then sorry. He comes out of the line-up. End of story.

I believe both instances are correct, where the article goes wrong is trying to convince the reader that the two seperate incidences are connected. I dont see them as being related at all.
Yup..pretty much my position. The reporter is making a false equivalency..just dramatizing it more IMO....

Sadly, the media isn't doing its job if someone isn't stirring the pot.

Boring, fact-based articles have no place in today's society.

This is what I hate about Lavy. He'll scratch guys like JVR or Zherdev (last year) when he doesn't like their play...but he puts Carle right back on the ice after a brutal turnover.

Holmgren was asked about this and said "that is totally false."

You don't late scratch a guy based on effort when he had a good game the night before and you want to get him going. Makes no sense, lavy didn't sit hartnell earlier this year and he was stinking up the place.

Yesterday. That's why he didn't play

Outside of the top line (Giroux, Jagr and Hartnell) no one has been playing well.

Timmonen is been the only good and reliable defenseman with Pronger out.

Our goalies have been far too inconsistent.

The really bad players right now are Simmonds, Voracek, Walker, Carle, Bryzgalov (considering his status in the NHL and his salary).

And yet they just produced 3 points in back-to-back games. There's a lot with which to find fault, but your hyperbole is revving a bit high.

Cole will then be traded elsewhere for another 2nd rounder. That 2nd rounder will be used at an ice cream shop to get a double scoop cone. Once he realizes it isn't ice cream weather, Homer will only eat half of it before throwing the rest in the Schuykill.

After which, he will proceed to package a Phantom D man with a 3rd round pick, and send them to Nestle for some butterfinger hot chocolate.

an unnamed source out of the west coast has confirmed that the Philadelphia media are a bunch of morons. We will have more on this story as it develops.

Hmm...never trust a former teacher's suck-up that would start fights during recess and lose all of them.

We just signed him to an extension, so obviously we are going to trade him.

He is lazy and a drunk...

Lavi needs to check himself. He doesn't know how to manage the forwards ice time.

??? What do you mean?

Also to the person who mentioned Zherdev... he was terrible. Reason why no one else signed him this past offseason and how he is having troubles in his new team in the KHL.

JVR always has a issue with his consistency. Hopefully he grows out of it.

What he said last night on DNL was uncalled for. He lost a lot of credibility in my eyes throwing crap out there like that. We lost one of the good ones in Chuck N. the other day. RIP C.N.

I actually don't think Voracek has been lazy at all. At times he dances too much and turns it over, but that's my only gripe so far.
