Question about Silfverberg and Caporusso?

We drafted them both a while back and they were not even at the training camp this year. Now, from what I've heard is that they're both highly skilled players, more so Silfverberg. Though, as I can recall that Silfverberg is currently playing in SEL and was suppose to be here for the training camp but opt out to stay back for another year before coming over and playing in the NHL(can someone confirm this please!?)

As for Caporusso, he is a top 6 material, as well, but I have no idea where he is and no one really talks about him at all. Is he a lost hope, a bust or we will see him in near future?

Caporusso is going no where, and Silfverberg sucks.

Guess you aren't familiar with the search function?

LC was at both rookie and main camp. He started the season in the ECHL, but got called up today, so will likely play for Bingo this weekend.

JS was at development camp, but decided to play in Sweden for one more year, which meant his season had already started when Sens camp was going on. He will be at camp next year and push for a spot.

Well, what are the chances of Caporusso making the team?

This season and next his chances are zero. Two years from now his chances are longshot at best.

Silfverberg has a spot waiting for him on the team next year. There's no way he doesn't make it. He was our best player in the rookie camp by a mile (including Rundblad, Cowen, Da Costa and Zibanejad.)

For what it's worth I think that Silfverberg is our best prospect not playing in the NHL right now.

That spot ain't waiting for him...he will have to earn it.

Obviously. The point is that he is expected by sens brass to be good enough to walk into the lineup.

Rivet signed an ECHL contract because he was tired of moving around and Elmira is about a 2 hour drive from Buffalo where his family lives. He wasn't ready to stop playing hockey and didn't care where it was he played, as long as it was close to his family. Good on him.

Also I don't think that Silfverberg gets enough credit as one of our prospects. So far he looks to be our #1 forward prospect I think.

He's often left out of our top 5 prospects. He gets talked about a lot but I don't think he gets enough credit.

In 2008-2009 Louie Caporusso was a finalist for the Hobey Baker award. He was considered one of our brightest prospects but he seems to have regressed every season since then. I was very disappointed in his performance at the rookie tournament. It's too soon to give up on him yet but his prospects are a whole lot dimmer than they once were.

I disagree. The consensus top 5 prospects seem to be:

1)Rundblad
2)Cowen
3)Zibanejad
4)Lehner
5) Silfverberg

The orders could change, but most lists I've seen have these 5 as the top 5.

Yeah I think that Silfverberg is a better prospect than Zibanejad, Lehner and Cowen. Maybe it's just me.
