I'd bet money for sure on Klefbom(not sure about Marincin) that other GM's around the league would be willing to give up more to acquire his rights that Petry's.

A top 4 dman who likely ends up about a #3 who can QB a PP or a completely unproven guy that COULD become a top pairing guy... I'm not so sure anyone other than Burke would take the gamble

Top 4? Is he top 4 because you say so? Or because he has played 3 good games there?

PP QB? Again because you say so?

He's a top 4 dman because of how he's played all year. He's been very good imo. I'll admit I might have a bit of bias because I'm a fan of his, but He's a good dman. I can easily see him running a PP. He has a great shot, thinks quick, has good hands, and is a fast, fluid skater... Why couldn't he run a PP?

You're basing your assessment on a very small sample size. How many PP points does he have this year?

No, I'm basing it off every game I've ever watched Petry play. How many PP minutes does Petry have? Straight from his HF Profile...

"Offensively, Petry has a cannon for a point shot, but often uses a wrist shot so that it does not get blocked and does not allow the goaltender to set up. Likes to use his skating and stick skills to make accurate passes out of the zone or to skate the puck up himself, which he has the speed and stickhandling to do. He steadily improved as the seasons wore on and brings a strong mix of size, skill and awareness."

and

"As a blue liner with good size and a range of skills, Petry is likely to play in a top four defensive role at the NHL level, being able to contribute on the power play, penalty kill, and even strength. The quintessential well rounded defenseman."

Oh okay so his HF profile that gives a write up of the prospect makes him a top 4 d-man in the NHL?

No... it shows that I'm not just pulling all his positives out of my a**. Why isn't Petry a top 4 dman? You make it seem like he kicked your dog or something. And his point so far this season did come on the PP...
