Here are two scenarios that are good value wise and great for the leafs:

PROPOSAL ONE:
Trade for Nash and Turris.
Nash for:
Schenn, kulemin, macarthur/bozak (one of the two), scrivens/gustavson, 2012 1st.

For Turris: Franson, macarthur/bozak (the one that didnt go for nash), 2012 2nd.

Lines:
Nash - Connolly - Kessel
Lupul - Grabovski - Kadri
Frattin - Lombardi - Armstrong
Brown - Steckel - Dupuis

Phaneuf - Gunnarson
Liles - Aulie
Gardiner - Blacker
Komi

Reimer
Gustavson/scrivens.

PROPOSAL TWO:
Sign Parise, Trade for statsny.

For statsny:
Schenn, grabovski, macarthur/bozak, gustavsonn/scrivens, 2012 first.

Sign parise for whatever he wants.

I think that this should be buried somewhere where no one can see it.

Why would we want to part with a 60 point winger in Mac and 30 goal scorer in Kulemin, last years leader in hits in Schenn, a strong goaltender in Scrivens who's value is only going to up, and our first for Nash? Nash is a good player but he's never performed at a ppg pace over his career

Finally I'm not sure I'd even do Turris for Mac straight up. Mac is coming off a career year and despite a poor start is on a hot streak as of late. Turris on the other hand is more or less Kadri in that he's a skilled player who's stuck in an awkward phase between AHL allstar and fringe NHLer. The potential is there but he's still relatively unproven. Thats without even considering his salary demands...

This is going nowhere good.

For future reference, please use the stickied proposal thread.
