With eakin out, I'm guessing we see Knuble with mojo and Semin, and Perrault centering Hendricks and Halpern on the 4th line...

Ionno, I think Bruce may keep trying weird stuff.

Semin-Johansson-Perreault
Chimera-Laich-Ward

It sounds like BB had already decided to have Eakin sit this game before last nights performance. Nothing wrong with that, gotta keep rotating players when everybody is healthy.
Caps win 2-1.

Yeah, all those years of figure skating really help him get some serious air on his skates.

All the caps need to do is weather the initial surge to start the game for the first 10 min, not take too many penalties and roll 4 lines and they'll be fine. The game will still be close because the Isles always play the caps hard and are a hard working team. I'm thinking 2-1 caps till the 3rd and a few more similar to the canes game.

They didn't have those when he hit 40. They bled him and he almost died.

sad to see eakin out of the lineup but seeing how purrutu always burnt out after a few games maybe this is a good way to handle young eakin

He has been beyond piss-poor in the offensive zone. Always a great passion guy and good teammate with good defensive instincts though. This is the first time our lines have seen a shuffle all season because none of our lines can produce except for our first, and that's only because of the dude who centers it.
This is more a of a send-a-message to KO and the team type move, seeing if we can get some of our players going.

Okposo is on the third line but in reality lines 2-4 will essentially get equal even strength time.

Great sports games tonight. Glad the Caps get underway an hour before the Bama/LSU game. Caps win 4-1.

i bet our record vs Isles the past 4 years is telling. Back to back on the road. Tight game / gloom forecast.
