Maybe Lewis asked for a personal day. Cause that doesn't make any sense.

That Looks like Terry just pulled a name out of a hat. (Maybe he did since the whole bottom six sucks).

Cliff should get sent down. Play a some games with the Monarachs and try to his game back. I think it will be good for him.

Can we, or would he actually still be junior eligible?

Didnt Richards call out the Penguins last year for diving? Hasnt he also had some beef with Cook? I can see the need for starting Westgarth and Clifford.

Clifford can go to the AHL. Last year he couldn't, and they didn't want him playing against JR competition.

Yeah, both of those happened at the beg. of last season.

RIchards (like most o f the NHL) doesn't like Cooke and wanted to address some things that Cooke did during a game last oct 16. He tried all night but Cooke kept skating away and wouldn't drop the gloves
So a week later, in Pittsburgh, six seconds into the game just after the opening faceoff, Richards went right for him and Cooke couldn't skateaway to the bench this time
Captain sent a message....

This is the fight...

I think Westgarth should have been in the lineup tonight just in case Cooke does something dumb, don't know who he should have been picked over. We have bigger problems.

Can anyone tell me a worse bottom six for the Kings?

Two awful, unmotivated players playing out the last year of severely bloated contracts and Ethan Moreau on one line. About 95% chance all three of these guys are gone next season.

A defensively unreliable player who has played wing most of his time here centering the two worst defensive forwards on the team on the 4th line.

It really is depressing how bad our forwards are.

And seriously, lol at benching Trevor Lewis. A message should have really beent sent by benching Penner, Stoll, Williams or even Brown. Terry scapegoats the second year 4th line center while continuing to send out his beloved veterans. Trevor, If only you were a former Oiler or Flyer. You would never be sat

This is where we are in year 4 of TM and year 6 of DL?

I always questioned why clifford made it out of camp last year. He can definitely hold his own in the NHL. There is no question about that. But what were and are the King's plans with him? I immediately questioned keeping him last year and not sending him back to junior. His last year of Junior could have been spent working on his offensive game. Then a year or two in the AHL to allow is game to translate to the professional ranks. Its not like we needed Clifford last year. We dont even need him today. Unless the plan was to make him a 4th liner with some grit, I believe the Kings have mismanaged Clifford. I would like to see him down in the AHL. I always envisioned him as a solid 3rd liner capable of 40+ points with some serious grit. But he will never find his offensive game in his current role.

And for the record....

If anyone should be benched, it should be Penner for lack of effort or Williams for keeping his head down and not passing.

F Cooke. Is Big Mac playing? He and Westy had some good ones in the A.

I'm not gonna argue the futility of the bottom 6...its horrible, and similar to earlier this year...when Murray pulls someone from the line up he basically finds a you guy and puts him in the press box.

That said, to find a worse bottom 6 all you gotta do is look south....and CBus, and NJ....but yea Kings are probably between 20-25 in the league, which won't be good enough come playoffs.

This team could really use a Donnelly-Millen-Granato energy line for the 3rd pairing.

That is what I said in the other thread, we have heard for years the term "Lombardi Player" usually when describing a skilled player leaving town not being a "Lombardi Player"

We desperately need a couple of those mythical "Lombardi Players" for our 3rd line. As of now our 3rd line consists of two guys who failed miserably to do the jobs they were brought in to do. Not exactly something to be happy about.

Guys.. one Terry Murray rant thread is enough. Let's keep the posts in here on the topic of the game. You can wax on about Murray in the Murray thread.
