I didn't actually see the play (was getting a drink, LOL), I'm just pointing out that is HAS been called before, so you guys don't think it was just a made up call. Maybe it was crap, I really don't know.
The refs weren't particularly good tonight, you guys are luck you're playing a team that's been known for having a terrible powerplay. To the Canadiens credit, their PK was excellent for the most part. Very smart and cerebral.
Fair to say the Habs got the short end of a couple of really bad calls. But that's hockey. Despite the early fight, it was a clean and exciting game. Nice win for you guys.
You think the Canadiens are going to fight the Refs? Hell, look at Blunden. Big hit and barely saw the ice any longer. He wasnt even listed on the Boxscore on NHL.com.
Yeah, the refs screwed us in the first period. We only had one penalty against us in the 3rd.
We lost because of poor passing, an abandonment of the aggressive forecheck (for the love of God Jacques, did you happen to notice the aggressive forecheck that the Rangers had that bottled us up on simple breakouts) and overall sloppy and passive play.
**** the refs but also **** Jacques Martin for his hideous ideal of how the game of hockey should be played.
Ah nevermind.. Not worth the time replying to you..
I saw this in a playoff game, i don't remember, it was 2 or 3 years ago. It's not the first time this kind of penalty as been called.
But the too high touching puck with the stick call on Gionta at the end of the third was for me the confirmation that the refs tonight were not ok at all in this game. I watch it two times in slow motion on my Pvr and (i think it's Peel call) the ref was ****ing wrong.
Good effort, no break from the refs, some penalities were deserved, others not, and the refs missed some call on the other side.. frustrating game..
Also, I dont get the love for Desharnais, some are saying he has super vision but thats really nothing to write about, especially for a such small overmatched player with no speed.. His passes lack accuracy, too many times its in the skate of a linemates or guys have to slow down to get it.. Marginal NHLer to say the least.. Leblanc will have no prob to outplay him next camp..
