When he stops being a perennial dissapointment, stops sucking at defense, and stops costing the team wins multiple times a season with his ill-timed turnovers, I'll like him more.

But what if he can only score points?

But anway, 15 turnovers, time to see how many he added on this game.

Bump... because the Matt Carle Appreciation Thread should NEVER be above the Matt Carle Turnover Thread... at least not based on how he's played thus far in 2011.

Only one truly horrific turnover tonight.

And it was only because Columbus was employing the '**** you' forecheck... swarming without fear that Carle is a competent passer.

??? I can think of atleast two. One was on the PP, where he was passed to on the point and either tried to pass it or shoot it. They stole it right from him and almost went on a breakaway but luckily he got his stick out in time and barely poked it away.

They other one was behind his net where he waited for a line change, went up the right site and gave it away in his own zone where they missed the shot.

How about that slap pass to the blueline by Pronger on the PK? That was an awful effort, punctuated by the long circles in their own zone facing the 1-3-1. No urgency, terrible positioning on offensive and defensive zones, a real waste of my evening watching this.

No. He isn't.

As usual, Pronger is scrambling to cover Carle's mistakes. It's kind of sad you can't realize this.

Really, what mistake would that be? The two times Pronger got smoked to the outside? Be objective, son.

Carle is now top 3 in the league for turnovers.

Edit: 2nd among defensemen.
