#13 - 11.06.2011 | Winnipeg Jets @ New York Rangers | 7:00 PM - MSG (HD)
THE MATCHUP
GAME #13
Nov 6th, 2011
@
(5-6-2)
___________ (6-3-3)
7:00 PM ET
MADISON SQUARE GARDEN - NYC, NY
MSG (HD) | TSN-JETS (HD)
QUOTES TO NOTE
I think we came out a little flatfooted, but once that fight happened I think it brought some added energy to the team.
When we are playing with emotion and energy and we get in on the forecheck we like our chances to win.
- Michael Del Zotto
The guys on the back end all stepped up their games tonight. Guys played a lot more minutes then they usually do.
But I thought they handled it really well and did a great job, especially with Sauer tossed from the game so early.
- Dan Girardi
I have no idea.
- John Tortorella

The Jets are missing some key pieces, and they too, played tonight. So we should have the advantage.
Keep on rolling baby! /durst

Need to abuse that defense on the forecheck. Should be a rout...but it'll probably be a typical Rangers' buzzkill. Play great against 3 good teams, disappoint in the "easy" win.

Marty should be in goal and hopefully we create plenty of chances against a pretty weak defensive team.
They have a lot of talent up front but struggle on defense and their goaltending is suspect.
Let's make it 7-3-3 tomorrow.

I like the way Richards has played so far this season. Much needed addition to our team and we can hope Stepan really learns from him.
I think Biron will start but then again I'm wrong about these things all the time, Rangers have a pretty spread schedule the rest of the month.

Let's end the home stand with a win.
LGR! Gaborik is due for one, so is Dubinsky.

Good job on the Torts quote.
Interesting our goals, assists, and points leaders are 3 different guys.

Biron will most definitely get the nod. He already played great vs them 2 weeks ago, and Lundqvist just played tonight.

Sigh, another game where I can't fully cheer for one team. I thought I would be sad to see the Jets move to the West next year, but at the time I really didn't realize how much I actually hate games where I cheer for both teams. I want NYR to win this one, but in OT!

Love Loffen's GDT, and now he throws in the Kate Upton avatar, even better.
Finish the home stand strong!

LGR.
Pretty good win last night. But some lucky breaks with the referees I might add. I do not see how the Rangers got a 5 on 3 from the 1st period fight??? I will take it of course - but it had a profound effect on the game imo. Cally should have gotten an instigator - at least - to even things out. And 2 penalties for the same offence??? One or two of the other Canadians penalties were also questionable - but so were a couple of later "compensentory" calls on the Rangers. But all in all I think the refs had a part in the win. Which really hurts me to say as I think we get shafted 70% of the time... And I dislike refs because of this.
We looked a bit shaky on D (and in goal I surprisingly will add) with Sauer gone for most of the game. MDZ (and Eminger) surprised and both had very good defensive games imo. MDZs goal was a beauty &
"The Brich" had a nice clutch goal.
Regarding tonight - expect to see the same lineup but with Biron in goal. Would be great to get 2 more points here to close out the homestand. Jets have some key players out - as do we. Expect to see a highscoring game. 6-4 maybe - with Gabby (2), Richards, Stepan, Boyle and Girrdi with goals. A fight or two as well.
Oh - and this week was nice with only a 5 hour time difference between Poland (where I am currently) and NYC. Now back to 6 hours again. Kinda sux...
