I have a question...

If this team is a lottery team without Lundqvist, why are we 3-0 with Biron in net?

Didnt think Biron was really tested to be honest.
He definitely made some real good saves that didn't look hard because he was just in position

Marty Biron might be the most likeable person ever.

EDIT: And apparently he's just coming off a death in the family. Guy has commitment.

This team is really becoming what I expected it to be. And quicker than I expected it to take.

Finally Stepan is showing his playmaking prowess, only took him 14 months.

1. Stepan
2. Gaborik
3. Biron

HM: Anisimov and Fedotenko.

Thought they could have played better, once again, but overall no complaints. Girardi, McDonagh, MDZ and Sauer look very comfortable on the ice.

The team definitely tightens up in their own zone when Biron is in net. But also you have to factor in the fact that Biron gets easier matchups than Hank.

I don't buy that we're a lottery team though. If Dubinsky, Stepan, and Anisimov play to their potential this year, we'll be in good shape.

I just looked at the standings and it feels so good !

I'll agree with everyone when it comes to the three stars and I'll add a special mention to Pavelec, who has been the best Jet tonight.

3-0 with a >1.50 GAA and a top notch Sv. %.

I remember being against singing Biron a few years back...I REALLY wanted Johan Hedberg (I'd still take him, always been one of my favorite goalies). But MB has been HUGE for this team. I honestly think that, without him, this team doesn't make the playoffs last year. His ability to come in near flawlessly for a goaltender like Lundqvist is remarkable. All at $875K, too.

Probably the most clear-cut poll results we've had since the start of the nightly PGT.

Gabby
Stepan
Biron

Maybe throw Arty in there.

I feel in the grand scheme of the season this will be a forgettable game, but there's a lot of great things to take from it.

Arty is out of his slump, IMO. Stepan is making me eat crow after saying he was sophomore slumping hard. MDZ looked good. Girardi is a trooper. Gabby with 2 goals. Really, everything that SHOULD go right is going right.

We're a good hockey team. Also gotta feel really good for Biron, I can't fathom if there's people in the world who don't like him. Such a nice dude.

Well Biron is much like another Marty in style and puckhandling ability. Obviously there is a gap in ability but the styles are the same.

For the Rangers it is a game they should win but the young American kids on this team in particular lately have been looking really solid. Add Miller and Kreider to the mix in a couple years and who knows. Its really just Dubinsky now that needs a jumpstart.

Love the progress that MDZ has made. Stepan is looking like a long-time productive center and has meshed nicely with Gaborik. Anisimov looks good on the wing. McDonagh looks like a future all-star. Biron is the perfect support to Hank.

And the "Too soft for the NHL" Anisimov all of a sudden has 8 points and a +3 in 13 games.

Call me crazy but I gave the nod to Feds over Gabby.

Feds was flying all over the ice tonight and created a few good chances out of nothing while also getting the forecheck going and drawing a PP.

Plus I don't think Gabby played nearly as good of a game as the stat sheet would indicate.

Great win though.
