Which doesn't really help him when his goal is to get out of town. If it was a legitimate contract dispute, he would've settled on a one year deal a long time ago and not sacrifice ANY paychecks.

He'd be a complete moron to not sign by December 1st. An entire year of his career gone.... his career will probably not recover from that considering he won't be allowed to sign with any professional team that isn't named the Phoenix Coyotes.

I'm not sure why he doesn't just suck it up and play, I mean even if they don't trade him the team is going to be relocating in 2/3 years anyways.

Location isnt the problem. He doesnt like tippets system and how he feels tippet doesnt give him enough ice time. Evemn if they were to relocate to quebec next year, its very likely tippet stays as the head coach, unless tippet is attached to the phoenix area and doesnt wish to move his family ala shane doan.

Thank you. It's precisely the reason why he'd be foolish, career wise, not to sign some kind of offer sheet if we are a week away from 12/1 and still nothing. For his career, he can't let the Yotes force him to sit out the season, not playing (he's still developing), and not making any money (he hasn't made boat loads of cash yet).

He won't need to sign an offer sheet. No team will offer sheet him something ridiculous because he's not worth it. Phoenix will offer him fair value. No team will bother sheeting him at that level either. It's a waste of time.
