Interesting point. Hitchcock could very well end up running both Stewart/Oshie out of town. I understand Blues management wanting a bit more structure but that guy with a young group isn't going to mesh imo.

And yes having both Neal and Stewart, two of the best young power forwards in the game would be unbelievable.

I remember seeing an Avs game where he straight beat a goalie high glove with a slapper from the blue line. In and out of the net before anyone could react. Guy's a beast.

Isn't Chris Stewart known for being one dimensional?

I remember people saying he was extremely streaky and doesn't fit the mold of a net crasher, but many power forwards today are a bit more finesse than sheer grit like Doan.

I'm going to start watching more Blues games with my Center Ice package. Definitely can see a trade or two happening there this year.

Remember it being closer to the blue line but here's the video.

Problem is we need roster space, to get Stewart would be more of a trade deadline deal if at all.

The guy has scored just south of 30 goals the last 2 seasons and around 60 pts, unless the GM for the blues is an idiot he's not letting him go cheaply.

But yea it would be great to pick up stewart and not give up anything to significant from the here and now. Not sure how RS pulls it off though.

Crazy trades and steals happen all the time. The Blues getting Stewart to begin with was a steal and a fire able offense for Sherman as far as I'm concerned. Sometimes you have to probe to begin with just to see what's out there.

You also don't want to mess with chemistry and a great locker room too much.
