Official Savard Account Confirmed

I figured it deserved its own thread

Matt Chmura who works for the Bruins confirmed that @MSavvy91 is the real Marc Savard.

He is new, so give him a follower if you have a Twitter acct

One of the best Bruins playmakers in recent history only has 500 followers come on people.

The guy has been tweeting to like 50 people for the last few weeks. He had like 100 at the start of today, and then word got out today finally and people started supporting him

His tweets make me sad

It sounds like he still has a lot of love for the Bruins org./players. Good to read that he's coaching youth hockey too. No doubting the guys passion for the game. I really, really, really, really, really, really, really wish he was still playing.

Not enough muscle on that line. Substitute Looch and that line would kill.

But I catch your drift.

The PP would be insane w/ Savvy and Seguin, as they play opposite sides of the ice. It's what we should be watching rip other teams to pieces right now, leading us to a 2nd cup. Why I hope Cooke goes backpacking on the Pakistan Afghanistan border w/ a "I luv Navy SEALs" t-shirt.

Glad the guy at least seems happy.

Yeah! I knew it was him. And his tweets make me happy. We could all break down crying thinking of what could have been, but he's finding things to be passionate about, his kids & their hockey, his golf, THE B's, fer Chrissake. It's nice to read.

Got the biggest grin when it was confirmed to be Savard.

I feel bad that he keeps tweeting Seguin but Seggy's ignoring him
Though I think that has to do with Seguin being terrible at twitter (he probably averages like 2 or 3 tweets a month.. psht)

d'aww.. I'd love it if Savard was able to make his way to the bench to coach the PP or have some job in the organization still. But as long as he's happy, that's great. He is really involved with his kids so that's awesome

He posts more about the NHL and the Bruins than most guys still playing. Wow - the scribes weren't kidding when they said he misses it.

I tweeted him the other day, showing some love. Its great to see. Maybe if he gets healthy he could come back and coach powerplay units here in Boston. It's really great to see him still showing love for the boys

Hmmm not a bad idea, wonder if that is possible (for an injured player to work as a coach)? I would imagine that it would negate his long term injured status and put his $4+ mil back on the books.

Started following him when Dale Arnold confirmed it was actually him.

Tweeted that he was Nostrasavvy after today's predictions.
