He's only played 3 games, lol...and he looked solid in those games.

I'm far from a Wolski fan (although him being Polish certainly endears him to me), but he's a solid offensive player, and a player that has more talent than most of the forwards on this club. It absolutely KILLS the LW depth, and it also forces players like Boyle and Prust to play 12-14 ES minutes instead of the 9-10 they should be.

I could tell it was a hernia from the reaction he had to it. My mom had quite the egregious hernia for about 1 1/2 years, and it really restricts your ability to bend over/lean/etc. It was 10x worse than a sports hernia (near fatal actually; surprising, I know, have you ever heard of a fatal hernia? Crazy ****), but, still, the same basic symptoms.

4 weeks is about right, he could be back a bit earlier, maybe a bit later. Unpredictable recovery time, but a month of so and he should be fine.

idk about you guys but Devaux has been playing better than I thought, this should give us some time to see how this kid can actually play hes pretty athletic for his size. Obviously I would rather Wolski in the lineup but it should be pretty cool to see Devaux hopefully stay up and show us something

Lets hope the Rangers can keep their good play up and when WW gets back he will just be another weapon. Lets hope Staal and WW come back strong!

Wasn't he suffering from groin problems during the preseason as well? I'm actually not sure, I only saw the game he played against the Devils, and I thought he was solid.

Jordan Owens got an SPC today from the Rangers bumped from his PTO. I'm sure he's not the call up, but could be speculation worthy.

I'm not convinced the Rangers recall anyone yet, I think Torts is pleased with his top 12 right now.

well it stinks cause he has talent but the team can obviously hold the fort.......so get healthy and hopefully he comes back 100%

If they do make a call up I hope to see Hagelin. For now I think they roll with Deveaux but will sour on hm like Newbury

Like others said, not the end of the world. Good time to have the surgery done and get him back for Jan.

Owens signed an AHL contract. He was playing under a pro tryout.

Wolski hurt his groin before the Rangers played Philly on September 26. Could have been during the Rangers scrimmages or in one of the Devils preseason games. Its a huge year for Wolski. He is not receiving a $4M QO in July.

Well, that would explain why his groin keeps hurting.

Maybe Tommy Grant? He would fit the bottom-6 mold needed and he is a good forechecker.

I'd rather have Mitchell or even Thuresson.

he was playing well imo. Better than simply serviceable. It was like with Frolov the guy was starting to play real well and then boom injury although Wrapalove was out for the season

How much of this can be contributed to Torts comment to the media about him being in the tub? WW most likely rushed back before his groin was ready to just get the coach off his back. I thought the Staal thing would teach this team something but I guess not.

Valid point. Especially considering the Staal debacle that seems a little iffy now too...

Too bad, I liked what I've seen from him the last couple of games before he went down, seemed to play with some edge.

If a player is assigned to the A at least 12 days before the start of regular season (outside the waiver period) he does not have to pass ee-entry waivers to be called back up. If I remember correctly, that is the case with Mitchell. If I'm wrong and he was on waivers, he'll have to clear re-entry.
