The Game 365: Sabres in Europe, 11/7 @ 10PM, MSG+

Quote:
MSG Networks’ new episode of its award-winning original series “The Game 365” features the Buffalo Sabres on their trip to Germany and Finland for the start of the 2011-12 season. The episode premieres on MSG Plus on Monday, November 7 at 10 p.m.

Hosted by veteran broadcaster and former Yankees catcher Fran Healy, the show takes fans behind-the-scenes as the Sabres embarked on their overseas October road trip, which they swept by defeating the Anaheim Ducks 4-1 in the season opener in Helsinki and the Los Angeles Kings 4-2 in Berlin the next day.

The episode features exclusive access to the team’s plane, practices, and the pre-season exhibition game against the Adler Mannheim Eagles in Germany, as well as off-the-ice-activities, including a trip to the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center to visit wounded American soldiers.

Don't get MSG, so I'll have to try to watch these some other way. Very cool though!

Check the MSG website - these may be on there. Also wouldn't be surprise to see these
show up on the Sabres website too - probably after all the showings on MSG Plus are done.

No showings on MSG though? afterall thats the station that shows the Sabres - not MSG Plus.
They could have shown then either before the pre-game show or after the post-game show.
Also the premiere should have been on MSG either after tonights Ottawa game or Tuesdays
Jets game. Boo there.

Oh well, I'll still be watching/recording - Healy and crew do a great job on these programs -
enjoyed the ones done on Miller, Tavares and yes, even Lundqivst.

LS...

Sweet, I don't get MSG+ because I live in the Genesee-Wyoming area, where Time Warner only carries it in HD (which I don't have).

Why do they have to put this on a channel that isn't available in a bunch of places in the WNY area?

Well if someone records it and gets it to a PC, they could split each part into 3 ten minute sections and post them on you tube. That would help many see it then

Judging from the way that Black mentioned the video being filmed from Pegula & family's view before they left for Europe, I have to think that the Sabres will eventually post the program to their website......at least, I'm hoping that'll be the case because many of us that rely on Center Ice to get the MSG telecasts otherwise will never get to see it....

Gotta say - that was a pretty boring production. Nothing like 24/7

Yes they didn't show much I had not already seen. I didn't like the interview segments, I would have liked more footage from Europe.

Well I just watched the 30 min. part one. I liked it. It was a mix of a few things crammed into 30 min. Would some be happier if it was never done? Apparently yes

I really enjoyed it. I found that i already knew a lot of the information regarding the travel, but fans in the dark would definitely find it interesting. I enjoyed the player interviews and their perspective on the Vet. Hospital visit. Also, I think it provided an even clearer insight into Pegula. The way he judges the character of people and how that is reflected in the faith he has in Lindy and Darcy. Also, Terry struck me as a very intelligent and logical person (which is kind of a "duh" statement, since ya know...he is a billionaire). I am referring to the specific bit where Terry drew a parallel between Buffalo and Green Bay, stating that if only major markets were allowed sports teams, then there wouldn't be enough teams to support a league. I think it shows how highly he regards the city of Buffalo and the fans.

Is this aimed at me? Just thought it could have been better.

You're over-reacting. I was disappointed that it wasn't nearly as interesting as I thought it could have been. That doesn't mean that I wish they never made it. Hopefully, the next episode will be better.
