I cannot stand watching Darche on the PP. You have Darche-Gionta and Pacioretty out on a PP, two guys who can't pass for their lives and its not like Pacioretty is the greatest playmaker(he isn't bad)...seriously does he expect that to score. I really can't stand watching Darche, he sucks. He's being put in a position where he cannot succeed. He's great in a 4th line role, but seriously get him off the god dam powerplay! FFS
Also, I like Desharnais, but seriously, I don't give a **** how many points he has, Eller is by far the better player and should be playing with Cole and Cammalleri(at least for tonight that Andrei was out).
and it won't get better, once Gomez comes back he will also get pp time, move Cole away from it and this pp will be even worse

As great as my man crush for eller is, I have to say I understand the logic behind those lines. With eller-moen-darche you have your defensively responsible shutdown-ish line. You swap eller and desy and you're left with a far from defensively reliable third line.
So people are pleased to just say Khabibulan stole it? You can count on 1 hand how many great saves he made...we hit 3 posts, we lacked finished. He could have sleep walked through the first period and its not like we peppered him with shots for the other 40 minutes. might as well already chalk up the loss vs Nashville I guess.
1- we won't draft Yakupov worst case scenario we end up 9 or 10
2- Subban is still really young lower your expectation . The same people who start to get on his back are the same who said we don't need Markov we have Subban this summer
Yes.. yes he was. He was one of the few D to keep getting the puck out of our zone, and he was great for the transition and caused a few offensive chances with his shot.
Weber and Desharnais, two of your favorites, were terrible.
Haha, alright. If you say so.
Offensive chances. Yeah, sure if you count stuff that goes 500 feet wide as chances.
So I'm wondering if Martin is putting the blame on Blunden for the two penalties he received against NY. He got 49 seconds of ice time that game, then 44 seconds total tonight. Not fair to him if that's the case.
Anyway, complaining about tonight isn't really warranted. For the most part, the guys all played decent to good (Plekanec an obvious exception). We we're the better team, no question. Just a horrible mistake on the first Plekanec play. Then the deflection.
We did give the puck up a little too much though.
And the coaching was terrible.
I agree completely, the Habs were the better team for the most part, but when your best forward lets you down it's tough.
But we are getting to the point where we can't afford 'one of those days' anymore.
I know this team is better than this..but in the NHL, good teams can miss the playoffs.
Subban's only problem is his pointless wind-ups for the blasts from the point. Yes, we get it, you're shot can hit over 9,000 if the blade of your stick hits the back of your helmet. Problem is, with more power comes less accuracy hence why he keeps missing the net.
Calm it down a bit and concentrate on sending low, accurate shots at the pads of the goalie. Force him to make a save and likely get rebounds for the traffic in front to go after.
Yep, I agree. Also none of our d-men (including subban) know how to fake a slapshot. Everyone knows they're faking, they're not fooling anyone. We also never take lobs at the goalie from the blue line.
Too much forcing the perfect play tonight. Too many one-too-many-pass plays (looking at you cole, gionta) and not enough simplicity.
Yeah, I meant to ask why I never saw him. Was the fourth line not supposed to be Weber - Noke - Blunden?
Interesting note; 10 forwards dressed tonight, as well as 7th defencemen. With one of the D playing as forward, the Habs were still missing a player to complete four lines. Wonder what the hell happened to Blunden.
