Also, I like Desharnais, but seriously, I don't give a **** how many points he has, Eller is by far the better player and should be playing with Cole and Cammalleri(at least for tonight that Andrei was out).
and it won't get better, once Gomez comes back he will also get pp time, move Cole away from it and this pp will be even worse

Once again, Nokelainen played well. He's been solid since the acquisition.

X2

These 4 should take turns in the press box.

keys to losing the game

-PP Blowing

-Pleks With the laziest pass I have seen this yr to create a breakaway for Jones.

-Gorges waving his stick at the puck after it was shot to tip it into his own net like a moron.

-Kabby doing his job like he has been all yr.

-Cammy being a ghost out there yet again.

-Not hitting the net. It's like they never practiced a shot in their life.

-No support with the extra man. Too many midgets.

As great as my man crush for eller is, I have to say I understand the logic behind those lines. With eller-moen-darche you have your defensively responsible shutdown-ish line. You swap eller and desy and you're left with a far from defensively reliable third line.

So people are pleased to just say Khabibulan stole it? You can count on 1 hand how many great saves he made...we hit 3 posts, we lacked finished. He could have sleep walked through the first period and its not like we peppered him with shots for the other 40 minutes. might as well already chalk up the loss vs Nashville I guess.

He was actually pretty good and took some good shots on net in the 2nd. Not the reason we lost that's for sure

I just want to say 2 things

1- we won't draft Yakupov worst case scenario we end up 9 or 10

2- Subban is still really young lower your expectation . The same people who start to get on his back are the same who said we don't need Markov we have Subban this summer

Hmm, I expect Dave Tippet to most likely outcoach JM on Thursday.

Haha, alright. If you say so.

Offensive chances. Yeah, sure if you count stuff that goes 500 feet wide as chances.

I'm counting the minutes. Except we don't know his return so I just add an extra minute on to the clock every minute until he returns.

So I'm wondering if Martin is putting the blame on Blunden for the two penalties he received against NY. He got 49 seconds of ice time that game, then 44 seconds total tonight. Not fair to him if that's the case.

i know why we lost
no because of no AK
or not finishing chances

this is clear on the PP too

not being able to a good entry

because we don't have Gomez

I was thinking the same thing all game. We really need Markov to QB the PP. He would have been a game changer tonight.

We did give the puck up a little too much though.

And the coaching was terrible.
I agree completely, the Habs were the better team for the most part, but when your best forward lets you down it's tough.

But we are getting to the point where we can't afford 'one of those days' anymore.

I know this team is better than this..but in the NHL, good teams can miss the playoffs.

The power play cost us the game, goes without saying.

Disappointing, but we need to move on. Played a good 3rd period, but not a full 60 minutes tonight.

Calm it down a bit and concentrate on sending low, accurate shots at the pads of the goalie. Force him to make a save and likely get rebounds for the traffic in front to go after.
Yep, I agree. Also none of our d-men (including subban) know how to fake a slapshot. Everyone knows they're faking, they're not fooling anyone. We also never take lobs at the goalie from the blue line.

Too much forcing the perfect play tonight. Too many one-too-many-pass plays (looking at you cole, gionta) and not enough simplicity.

Interesting note; 10 forwards dressed tonight, as well as 7th defencemen. With one of the D playing as forward, the Habs were still missing a player to complete four lines. Wonder what the hell happened to Blunden.

thing that bothers me is,

we have a forward down, and weber is the guy that comes in???

is this team that short of depth up front?

Cammy played great tonight. Was hustling all night, and if his two shots were two inches to the right he'd have two goals.
