Looks like these Eastern teams are easy to put to bed.. We had the chances to bury the game in the 2nd but didn't and then in the 3rd we got the goals rather quickly: 2 points.

I don't see a slump in the 1st line, Ribs is working smart and Burish is scoring timely goals with them when getting to the net. We'll see how we line the top2 lines when Ott comes back.
Tonight Daley was sublime I mean he was absolutely flawless.. I haven't seen a D play that well for ages. It seems like his hockey-intelligence is on another level, specially playing with Souray..

Trevor Daley ***
Michael Ryder **
Jamie Benn *

Congrats to Trevor Daley for hitting the 100-assist mark!

Also, Dallas is now tied with Philly and Washington for best goal diff in the league, at +12. We also currently have two more wins than any other team in the league. I'll enjoy it while I can.

Didn't get home and start watching until right after the Nystrom goal. I watched the highlights, though. Looks like the Ryder-Benn-Eriksson line was great again. Bring on Pittsburgh - Crosby or no Crosby!

That was an amazing effort by Dallas. They're doing themselves and the fan-base proud and fully deserve everything that is going to come their way if they keep this performance up.

If we can outplay and outwork the best team in the league for 60 full minutes in their own barn then we can do the same to anyone, any night.

Huge character win on the road... Gotta love this teams compete level

Also that may have been the best game I have ever seen Daley play... he was absolutely flying out there

I just saw Nystrom's sick goal. Great pick-up by you guys.

I think they usually travel with two made up for each player with blanks and nameplates/numbers in case somebody goes completely nuts.

Wandell might not get his ripped up, but if he gets cut in the face and can return, he wouldn't be allowed to if his jersey was too bloody.

Equipment managers are usually above-average sewers, too. They usually repair rips from sticks or skates rather than go straight new jersey.

It started out slow at the beginning of the season but now Gully has these guys giving it their all. Nice to see from this team for the first time in years.

Actual recognition from ESPN. Wow. Two out of the top 5-6 plays. Ryder was 5 I believe, maybe 6, and Nystrom was at 2.

I hope we see Raycroft against the Pens. Kari gives Dallas the best chance to win, and 2 points in Detroit are the most important of this trip since they are a Western foe.

That said, my disdain for the Eastern bias really does want me to see Dallas find success against another darling Eastern team.

It's quite funny how every single time we win a game, if you were to go into the other team's game thread, everything is in full on panic mode. Granted, I completely understand why the Caps would be because they got completely outworked, outplayed, outclassed, and outcoached last night. But, outside of the Phoenix games, every game we've won has led to full panic mode in the opponent's game threads.

Wow this team has surprised the heck out of me. I thought Benn might have a rough transition period but he seems to have blown through that and now he Eriksson and Ryder have formed a really nice compliment. I really hope Niewendyk gets an extension done soon because he's becoming more expensive by the game.

Is Sourey seriously going to score 60+ points and have 100+ penalty minutes? His play has been nothing less than spectacular.

Daley played his best game ever. When he uses his wheels and puts himself in good positions to shoot the puck he can change a game. Here's hoping he keeps it up.

It's not time to panic yet but Ribiero and Morrow are not doing well at all and eventually without a legit 2nd scoring line Benn and company might have problems. Maybe Brenden needs to sit for a game or two when Ott comes back to get healthy? Because if he is and this is how he's playing that's not good at all.

I don't really need to say anything about Lehtonen do I? Winnipeg is probably pretty bitter that he didn't live up to his potential while with them.

Did anyone else see Mike Modano in that move Nystrom did? That's probably the first and last time those two will ever be compared but man, what a pick up so far. He seemed pretty excited to be in Dallas and playing and that trio has been fantastic so far.

How they handle the rough patches will tell us more about this club but man first tough test passed. Let's see how things go in Pittsburgh and Detroit. Gulu is coach of the month for October right?
