Meh, Pronger is back. He's played well but with Pronger back I don't think he will be missed. Hopefully it's nothing serious because he has played a little better than Lilja. But I really don't think it will make a difference in the end if Lilja is out there instead of Gus.

Marshall is not an NHL calibre defenseman

This team is 15 games into the season....if you want to judge consistency based on that and trade Giroux and JVR then yeah I suppose Holmgren and Snider are the "idiots" that some on here and "elsewhere" claim they are.

Haters like Holmgren are normally brought to the brink of tears when having to move the players they hate...

Why would I want to trade Giroux and JVR.

Holmgren is a recovering alcoholic...he hates having to give up on people he relates to and tried to nurture (grow). He probably hates Snider getting in his business and business itself. He did what he had to do even if he didn't like doing it especially since he had Snider breathing down his neck

Is there any special reason that you can't let Carter/Richards/Their Trade go? You bring up the topic more than anyone else, often for no conceivable benefit to the discussion at hand. Just let it go.

Not interested in being bated further ...just like some drop innuendo, insults about Holmgren etc I feel I don't have to explain myself in doing the same and unless the rules are updated to outlaw any discussion about them then I will do so when I please.

I think you need to explain why you keep trolling those who talk about them or feel the need to constantly defend their honor.....it works both ways. You want to insinuate some obsession..I suppose I can do the same

How exactly do I troll? I'm not constantly talking about Richards and Carter....except when others bring them up first.

he has been scratched 1 game. He has also played well so we differ there. He is much more confident offensively and jumping into the play much more frequently. i wouldnt try to recall him though. He still has a shot to be a #6 dman though gus has more upside. Unless thery are going to give gus some pp time (doesnt look like it), they are not utilizing him the right way. The flyers need a #6 guy who is solid in his own zone, that isnt gus. This is why i am a little surprised they havent even given marshall a shot as he fills that role better than gus imo. Now would he be successful? who knows?

i still would rather have Gus out there then Lilja or Walker. The guy hasnt done anything to deserve to be sent back down. I would rather put a kid out there who will make some mistakes like any young defenseman will then keep putting out the ****** #6 guys who cant skate and who suck defensively.
I have no idea why this organization either doesnt trust or doesnt want to develop young defenseman. They have no problem putting young forwards out there or a young goalie with no NHL experience.

Hope his injury is not that bad!

Now that they have finally dropped Walker I believe Lavi will lean towards giving Gus more playing time. If he can prove himself reliable, he could really turn into a promising option.

He will be given every chance to earn a permanent spot for next season. Long way to go until he can replace Carle.

im not buying it. Not that I dont like Gus. I think he can be a good bottom pairing defender for this team. I just dont trust this organization to make the right decision when it comes to that.

Carle is going to want a ton of money though. It will be interesting to see what direction they go. I like Gus but I dont know if he is ready to be penciled in as a Carle replacement.

A pylon can replace Carle and be equally as effective on the defensive side of the puck

If that is your evaluation of Carle I would hate to see yours for Lilja or Walker. Carle plays what about 18-20 minutes a game? He must be doing something right even though he can be maddenly inconsistent. Meszaros has been worse so far this year.
