Maybe you should remove Comrie from that list, considering he's pretty much traded already...

I picked Comrie, because well... he is the most likely to go.

I chose Mr. Isbister. I didn't like the trade that brought him here (although, I like Torres), I don't like his inconsistencies, and he's getting paid what, $1,800,000?!

I am going to say Salo. Even though he's got us into the playoffs the last few years and without good goaltending you won't make it. However he hasn't got us anywhere once were in. We should be able to get a high pick for him. Maybe a high second low first?

You're going to trade our starting goalie for a high second round or low first round pick? There better be something else coming back with that pick

With the goaltending market what it is, a deal to a bottom five team for their second or a top ten team for their first would make me giggle with glee.

Won't happen though, Tommy won't fetch more than Cech did IMO (mid 2nd) which is why I say we hold onto him unless someone gets desperate...

My 2 cents

I voted for other, as in Jason Smith.

I would rather see Staois extended 3 or 4 years and Smith moved by the deadline personally...

NOTE: the above post (Izzy4Real) was actually me, I forgot to log my brother out :-)

I said Salo also, cause this team needs a shakeup. That would do it. Problem is, like everyone else said, better be gettin something in return. I have no idea who is available, but, you asked who I would trade, not whom I would want in return.

imo these days picks are having way too much value placed on them. You're going to trade a proven starting goalie for some 18 year old who, if you're lucky, will contribute to the team in the future as much as salo is right now.

salo...

3.9 million dollars of "i don't care anymore" is way too much for a team like edmonton. if they traded salo for a pick and invested his 3.9 million sallary in defensive help then the oilers would be a better overall team with conklin in net (and he is by no means a #1 goalie).

for the sake of discussion ask yourself:
- is salo really 3 million dollars better than conklin?
...or...
- more specifically is (Salo + current defence) better than (conklin + 3 million dollar defensive improvement)?

i think i'm going to start another thread to discuss this.

All i can say is "thank god Isbister only got a one year deal".

I've never fully understood why people thought he'd be a good player for us? Yeah, he's big. But he's also useless 80% of the time. Hopefully he'll find some consistency, or it will be a short stay for Brad.

I voted MC - there's no Oilers I really want to get rid of at this point, and if I could move MC for tangible assets, I'd be happy. (Of course, depending on who came back, somebody else might have to be moved too. C'est la vie.)
