Becoming a one line team the way Torts was juggling tonight, but if they produce like that every night then hey, no big deal

I don't mind the lack of PP opportunities, because the refs kept their whistles in their pockets. Kept it even. Yes, they missed the one at the end, but otherwise I appreciated that they let the game flow.

1st -- Stepan-Gabby-AA line
2nd -- Hank
3rd --Girardi

HM MDZ

I'm at a loss with Dubinsky. Have no idea what happened to him. he could have very easily changed his offseason routine after signing the contract.

The Good:
-The GAS line. Yeah I coined that. They farted all over the competition tonight.
The Bad:
-All the other lines
The Redden:
The opportunity that Avery is getting with the team. How is he supposed to prove anything with 5 minutes of ice time?

We may want to think of introducing the Dubinsky memorial Slapshot trophy based off that game...

Agreed. Definitely preferable to the alternative.

Step, Gabby, AA for sure. Hank was solid as well.

The team looks good lately - not perfect by any means but far from the atrocity that they were at the start of the season. A lot of the doom and gloom from a few weeks ago already seems hilarious.

I don't think he was brought up to prove anything. I think he was brought up to maximize cap expenditures and plug away on the fourth line.

First i was that Avery would be a better 4th line player than Rupp, so he should be here.

Now, he's all of a sudden supposed to be playing top minutes? What has he shown to justify that, exactly?

Pretty clear cut here.
Gaborik
Stepan
Anisimov (Who now has 10 points and a +6 in 14 games)

1- Gaborik
2 - Stepan
3 - Anisimov

I thought Sauer was really quite good as a 4th star.

Hopefully this thing with the Senators does not continue forever. Maybe playing down to the level of the Senators is a risky game.

They should have killed this team. The fact they did not was not because the Senators were really good.

EDIT: stop the idiocy, Tortorella. There is no way to justify Prust being on the first line. Perhaps he is getting all ****ed up. Idiot. What a way to screw up the guy you brought in to up the scoring.

For about another minute. When the Philly game goes to OT we're tied for 3rd in East.

I agree, I'm not a fan off Bettman hockey but come on in the last minute. High sticks in the center of the ice are always called and hand passes are NEVER missed. 2 very obvious calls that were let go. Otherwise I'm glad they let them play for the most part.

MDZ has been quietly stellar this season. He looks very good early on.

Richards, unfortunately was a no-show for the most part today. He had one really good pass to start a 2 on 1 and that was about it.

Going to attribute some of that to playing the last half of the game with Prust and Dubinsky, but you're right.

We really need another dynamic LW that could benefit from Richards and make us a legit two line team lol.
