THANK YOU! I had enough prettiness for a lifetime from 1997-2004.

This team is not built to nor told to play a pretty game of hockey. With a couple exceptions, this team is made to stay in the game, grind it out, and win 'em close. Now they are also showing the ability to keep racking up points.

I approve. NOW WIN ON FRIDAY FOR ME!!!! (Section 307)

What a stretch we have been on, now 4th in the entire league points wise. A few more easy games coming up (3) and then we start a tough stretch. Lets get 4 of the next 6 points and start to tackle these tough games.

Eminger's now a team worst -6. He and Woywitka both played 10 mins tonight.

Friggin unacceptable. The lack of a decent bottom pair will burn out our top-4

Get rid of them.

But Dubinsky was better, is better, and will be better than Gabby... I don't understand how the on-ice results are different than my opinion...

Ugh.

2 points separate 2nd from 8th.

We've won 5 in a row and there's almost nothing to show for it in the standings. You'd think we'd have created a bit of separation from the pack but nope.

1. Derek Stepan
2. Marian Gaborik
3. Artem Anisimov

HM: Girardi, Del Zotto, Sauer, Hank

Not a pretty game...but good teams find a way to win. They capitalized on their scoring chances, got excellent goaltending, and were disciplined.

Go for 9-3-3, now, against Public Enemy #1.

Nine of our first 14 games have been against Canadian teams.

6-2-1 against them.

And replace them with whom? Stralman will get his chance, but don't expect him to be any better defensively. We just need to piece it together until Staal gets back and, hopefully, Erixon is ready. If neither of those things happen, I imagine we'll be looking for a rental dman at the deadline.

this winning streak with our beloved top Dman is even more impressive.

Deveaux should low blow Eric. I'll take the suspension, lol

none of us know but Staal should be back eventually. May be the new yr but he will be back.

Just get Stralman some practices and see how he helps the 3rd pair.

Has anyone answered if they chose Eminger to play who plays LD?

Woywitka will be in the minors whenever the heck Staal is ready

Gaborik
Stepan
Anisimov
fo sho

if cally woulda scored that empty netter Ani woulda had 3 assists and 7 pts in last 3 games

all three are tearing it up, if fun to watch Gabby be selfish and shoot. He's like having Jagr on the team, when he goes for the shot you automatically stand up and start cheering cuz you know it's almost definitely a goal.

My stars are the same everybody else's. Avery doesn't look remotely deserving of more ice time. He was ineffective and just plain bad defensively. He failed to clear the puck several times. Face it. The guy produces nothing, can't kill penalties, and isn't even a particularly effective agitator at this point. He gives us nothing.

He hasn't played well at all so far and this is coming from an Avery supporter. I'll give him a little longer to see if he could get it together. He's just coming off an injury and didn't get many games in in Connecticut so he could still be rusty.

Very impressed with Deveaux so far. I like what he brings to the table.

Common Pattern for goals lately:

AA hustles breaks up a play, Stepan takes it, slows it down, Gabby Lurks - finishes.
