Sloppy game tonight but whatever, I'll take it. Playing Ottawa seems to bring out the sloppyness in teams since they themselves are a mess of inconsistency.
When Gonchar/Rundblad/Karlsson get the puck it's almost 50/50 whether they'll make a great play or horrible turnover.
At least Rundblad and Karlsson have time to get better, but right now they're just so careless with the puck sometimes. No look backhand passes right to the other team, poor decision making, but it mixed with some beautiful and amazing plays. Must be frustrating as hell
Anisimov is playing great, Stepan was also great though it looked like he might have been getting too cute with the puck near the end there. Gaborik is playing awesome
Richards' line needs to find some chemistry. He's still making some nice, underrated plays out there (like springing some guys for an odd man rush by making a nice bank pass off the boards) but Callahan is being streaky with this offensive zone effectiveness this year, Dubinsky hasn't gotten going at all, and Prust/Feds just aren't really enough of a threat to be useful in an offensive role
Anisimov was great for turnovers tonight. If he can stick as a LW, that significantly improves out LW depth.
I completely agree. He just has to not take backward steps. It's time for him to lock into the type of play he has been showing lately. It's up to him. The guys is one of my favourites. I love non-flashy but skilled guys. That backcheck he made knocking the puck off the Senators forward was a great example.
The point is that he is capable of great offense, too. That has to be consistent. He is not supposed to be a Blair Betts, he is supposed to be much more. He is showing some pretty good stuff and is looking to have a really good year.
Levitate you amaze me. Stepan getting to cute at the end of game. He has been our best player the last five games. Nothing will make "kids" like you happy.

if u asked me to start the yr and pick the top 6 Forwards not based on position I would of said the current top 6......Wolski needs top 6 minutes to be a effective but he's not part of the future.

I'm not saying I'm not happy with him, I just think he started trying to look for passes that weren't there a few times. I understand it's been working great for him so he wants to keep doing that but sometimes you gotta shoot the puck or make the easy play as well. It's not a big deal, just a little something I hope I see him improve on

I know Stepan has been great, and you love him and will always defend him no matter what. I though he was trying to get a little cute at the end of the game too. It is okay to criticize people even if they are doing well sometimes.
Does Ottawa force all it's players to skate and stick handle like Jason Spezza? They all skate with the big, forward leaning stride like they have his swag.
I'm looking at you Nick Foligno, you're a lot worse then you look.

I hate Foligno so much. He' such a weaseley looking guy
edit: I was also ****ing PISSED that they didn't call a penalty on Gonchar for buttending Gaborik in the face at the end of the game. If nothing else that should have been interference since Gaborik knocked the puck past Gonchar and would have had a chance at an open net

They haven't turned the puck over like that much all year. That's the most let-go I've ever seen Karlsson, it's like MacLean told him to lead the rush and mix it up offensively on every shift...
But no, it's not usually like that with the turnovers.
