They don't have the one where the linesmen get in to stop the guys when they drop the gloves. He'll quip with something like, "Would you let them go! Honest to goodness gracious."
I don't care what other people think, I can't enjoy Red Wings hockey when Ken and Mick aren't calling the game. Doc and Edzo make me rage (and ****ing hell, if Pierre is there too) and I can't seem to find any other good announcers around the league. They either have an annoying voice (Caps and Sabres for example) or they are complete idiots (Bruins or Pens)

Frickin' Edzo is such a homer too. I remember during the two Cup runs against the Pens, the Wings players were treated like chopped liver while Edzo gushed about Sid every other second. I literally wanted to reach through the screen and strangle him. He has a really hard time saying anything positive about the Wings, kind of like Melrose's hang up for years. Neither guy is very bright, which is something you can't say about Doc though.
Doc is a very good hockey announcer. But that voice....ahhhhhh
He knows his hockey, he can have some pretty irritating Doc-isms (the term "waffleboard" and "ricochet" needs to be banned for a while) but when you pair him with Edzo, it's just torture. Edzo's mannerisms are just annoying. Especially when he analyses a play, he'll start the sentence off with "Look at..."

It's true. He has an allegiance to the Pens and Hawks, which just happen to be two of the Wings biggest rivals. His bias always shines through in his broadcasts.
Whenever he's forced to say something positive about Detroit, it's like he couldn't possibly be any less enthusiastic.
Mickey is the best! Dave Strader is pretty good, he's no Mickey but I think he was calling the Flyers-Bolts game last night and it's always good to hear him call a non-Wings game.
Mick is one of the best there is in my humble opinion. I was watching a game recently in which the Wings got a power play based on a weak call against the other team. Mickey lambasted the referees just as much about that call as he would have if the call had gone against Detroit. I know its only a matter of time before he retires, so folks please realize that you've got a living legend calling games for us here, so enjoy it while you can because you WILL miss him once he's gone. Its a real treat when the Wings fight, because it brings out some of the passion and fire in Mickey when the gloves get dropped. Not only is he one of the best color commentators out there, he always does a great job calling the fights as well. I remember how disappointed he was when he missed "The Brawl in Hockeytown" - he had been on his way from the booth down to the locker room to do an interview when all hell broke loose. You're truly one of the best Mickey, don't you dare ever change the way you call the game!

My NHL Center Ice (here in California) typically carries both feeds (Detroit Fox Sports HD and the opposing team's Fox Sports HD).
He's funny to listen to, "Holy macro!" being one of my favorites
However, sometimes I get thoroughly sick of him, like when he gets out his pen in a situation where you want to look at a detail, like if the puck crossed the goal line at a contested goal, he'll use his pen to draw all over the main center of attention to ruin the view, that can make me rage sometimes.
I've never understood why people get annoyed by biased announcers on regional networks. I can understand it at the national level, but who cares if these guys prefer their home team? They watch them night in and night out and in Mick's case he's a former Red Wing.
