Sucks for Seguin

Thomas and Chara are pretty much guarantees. Nice to see the other guys on there though

Time to create a voting program to write in Seguin like Montreal fans did a few years ago?

EDIT: I find it too funny that this league is so inept that they can't even change the all-star ballot around to put players who has excelled early on, and take off players who have been awful. Only the NHL.

Only difference would be that he legitimately should be in the game unlike their players

They should just call it the "last year's all star's game"

Not sure I agree. By this logic, you might see more Leafs than Bruins simply from the "great start" they've had.

If we look at the here and now, teams like Ottawa, Toronto and Edmonton could have more players than say Boston and Vancouver. (Not saying they would/should, but to an extent, you don't want to judge with just one month of hockey...)

Just my 2 cents... Doug.

I thought you were able to write in players who aren't listed on the original ballot? Could've sworn Carey Price was voted into the game as a write in last year.

Yea I just came on here after viewing the ballot on NHL.com.

I think Seguin not being on there is an absolute joke.

I haven't watched the actual All-Star Game since the year Savard won it with less than a minute left. ('08 I believe)

The Skills Competition is the only real attraction.

I can't believe they put 5 senators on the ballot. I know the game is in Ottawa and all but really Gonchar and Mihalek? Gonchar is coming off the worst year of his career and gets on the ballot.

Don't most players get selected outside of the ballot anyways?

If the ballot is based on last season, how did Sheldon Souray make it?

Or Jagr? Or Crosby?

(I'm not upset about those two being there, makes complete sense)

But clearly they make exceptions to get guys there.. They should pick a few exceptional players from this season from around the league to go. Seguin should be on that list and Khabibulin too.

And Joffrey Lupul.

We as Bruins fans need to 'stuff the ballot box' w/ Seguin write-ins. Get the kid in his 1st Allstar game.

Lets remember Komisarek got in the year Montreal had the game, so that tells you how "legit" the process is

Only the starters are selected by fans. The other 16 or so players in each conference are picked by coaches and fellow players. If Seguin keeps this up, he'll be in the game whether he's on the ballot or not.

It's just an old-fashioned gimmick to make fans feel good. Lots of deserving players who aren't on the ballot make it every year, so it's not a big deal.

What is worse: Tyler Seguin not on the ballot or the fact that Nathan Horton is?
