Now I hope he doesn't play at all and AK goes tomorrow but if not, he has to play with Eller. Darche better stay on the 4th line, the guy has one scoring chance this entire season.

Let's get something straight. If players are judged on the percentage of their talent they use constructively, then Darche comes off far better than Subban, who often hurts his team by taking penalties or having lapses of judgment. The Habs are weakened when Subban doesn't play intelligently. Why does he act so selfishly?

He'll play the 5 minutes Montreal might need him to play on the wing at even strength better than anyone else in Hamilton. That's why he's up, to be a warm body if they need him, so they bring up the best player on the Bulldogs as he's the least likely to play terribly and cost the team. Plus at 22 and near the end of his AHL apprenticeship its not that bad of an idea to see how he plays at the NHL level in a limited role.
Role and type of player have nothing to do with it. He hasn't shown himself to be a better option for top-nine play than Moen or even Darche (who has been a fairly decent 3rd/4th line depth offensive player in Montreal) yet so why throw him to the wolves? Playing against 4th liners and he still has a chance of winning the matchup, that's not likely playing on Eller's line which plays against much better players.
And everyone here knows I hated the Palushaj for D'Agostini trade.

When I heard we trades him I was sad but was willing to give palushaj a chance
I thought this was the year but it looked like he did nothing over the summer to help his chances
It is early to write him off but he isn't looking good out there

Ps-anyone knew why that trade was even made
D'Agostini had just come back from a concussion and was struggling. Instead of waiting out over the summer, we moved him. I didn't agree with it because I know that our coach hates young players (even more-so a few years ago).
D'Agostini is a very good 3rd liner and solid 2nd liner. He's got so much better defensively too.

Martin wants balance of offense on three lines...so far this year Darche has not contributed anything offensively. That is my point. Palushaj is better off on that line because Moen and Eller are responsible defensively. He will not show you anything playing on the 4th line. You have to put your players in a spot they can succeed. And what you saw from Palushaj at the start of the year proved he will not flourish on a 4th line role. He may be able to show off his skills more with Eller.

D'Agostini was waiver eligible I believe. They couldn't send him back down to Hamilton to finish up his defensive development and the coach probably didn't want to risk playing him in a very tight race for a playoff spot so they traded him for an approximately equal player in potential that was 2 years younger.

Moen and Eller are defensively responsible so they are counted on for shutdown minutes because Desharnais can't be relied upon against top six players. There's no place for a raw Palushaj on that line.

Losing Palushaj on waivers wouldn't break my heart. As a veteran Darche has played smarter than Palushaj and has actually chipped in a few goals, especially on the PP.
Look at that, Palushaj gets put in a semi-offensive role and looks good. He's not far away from being an nhler.
Yep Palushaj NEEDS to play an offensive role to be effective.
In fact, more players than not on the Canadiens are suited to play an offensive style of hockey, which is why I don't think Martin is particularly suited to be their coach not because he's a bad coach, but because his style don't match the Canadiens needs imo. They need someone like Muller who can maximize their potential.
