I want (2) things:

1) Everyone to stay healthy

2) Richards to start creating some chemistry with ANYONE.

I suppose it would help Richards if we actually got some power plays in this game.

And anyone can produce with Cally. Even Gomez did. And I think Richards has looked fine this year.

Rangers win and Pens loss = NYR first place in East...who would've thought THAT earlier this season?

I still don't like Torts.

Wondering how lines 2 and 3 will look to start the game tonight, and hopefully the GAS line can keep going.

The one thing that is consistent with Ranger fans is: always hate the coach.

Cam Ward has never faced the GAS line, let's hope they can keep it up.

Richards is doing fine 10 pts in 14 games isn't bad.

On Dallas last year, he had twice as many points at this point in the season.

Any of you have any idea what that is. Apparently it's some sort of buffet. I'm guessing it's like where the media eats
Considering a green room is usually where the talent waits before participating in a show, I'd guess you might be hanging with some MSG personalities.

Yeah......that's not good either. I know Richards is a better player than Gomez but he is on pace for 59 points. That's a Gomez-like scoring pace. I understand he is new and needs time to adjust but if he scores 60 points this season that's not enough from a player who is considered a #1 center and signed for another 8 years.

My thoughts exactly, always a tough game and I hate playing these guys, all the same, a win would make it that much sweeter. Get it done boys.

If Gaborik's brother will be at the game, count on Gabby to score a hat-trick. I feel much more confident about the game now

Nope, they will a play a game of Pretty Pretty Princess so we'll win for sure.

We seem to always have a hard time against the 'Canes (and by 'Canes I mean Cam Ward ). Should be a great goaltending duel as always.

LGR! Make it 6 in a row!

Well that's the problem with basing point production off the first dozen or so games. If that was true Kessel would score 117 this year and we know that won't happen.

It just proves we need a legit LW to play with him. It was our one remaining need in a lot of posters eyes before the season started.

Count me in the group that thinks paying a player 6.8 million a year for 9 years should be able to carry a line, not need another player. The same thing was said about Gomez for a couple of seasons to start his contract.

Scoring aside, I am not at all disappointed with Richards play thus far.

At the beginning of the year I said that I would be fine with Richards scoring 65 points if there was emphasis on improving his defensive game.

In Dallas Richards had more offensive freedom than he does under Tortorella. Tortorella uses him power v power, which isn't how he was used in Dallas. Ribiero was the Center that handled first line duties in Dallas.

Just my .02.

Richards has been one of our better and most consistent players this season. He's one of the last people someone should be complaining about.

Carrying a line in the NHL is a lot easier said than done. Especially for a playmaker, what do you expect him to do if his wingers can't finish. How about that nice play to MDZ who could have shot but tried to feed Dubinsky?

If he had 5 pts I could understand the disdain but a couple 2 pt games and he's back up to a 70pt pace.

Hey ho 6 in a row!!

Its nice having an amazing offensive talent like gabby on his game. Now only if Dubinsky would wake up and pot a few to take the pressure off.

Also am really loving how anisimov and Stepan are playing. Some more homegrown guys blossoming!

Gaborik wasn't producing very great this year until a few games ago either. Suddenly a few multi point games and he's over a point per game. Same thing with Richards. Most point getters are streaky to some extent. More PP's and his linemates upping their games a bit and Richards will put up plenty of points. He still makes a ton of great little plays out there, even if they don't result in points, they're resulting in scoring chances.

He's also been better defensively than I would have thought he'd be. Not saying he'll be fantastic or anything but he's pretty solid

I feel bad for Richards. He's living up to his end of the bargain. Putting jinxed turnover machines like Dubinsky and Prust on his wings at the same time was a slap in the face.

With Wolski out, he needs some finesse on his flanks. Maybe give MZA a shot?

Or how about this idea: Keep him with Dubi and Cally for, i dont know, maybe three straight games no matter what?

I agree he needs some better players to play with but all I was saying is that if he ends up with 60 points, you can't tell me people would be happy about it. The Rangers are made up of hard-working grinders. They don't need their high scoring players to do that all the time. They need them to score. The same thought process can be applied to Gaborik.
