The refs were clearly the MVP for Colorado.

I guess I'll go with Grabner. Played a solid game out there.

Lol at Montoya getting votes when DP wouldn't get an ounce of credit if he was in the same spot. Ah, the Isles fans.

I voted for Grabner. From what I heard he skated well, and he did have a goal.

Grabner.

That 3rd goal was pretty bad on Montoya's part. He played a very good game besides that however.

Montoya no gaalie but an Islanders goalie would be asked to face 51 shots and stop enough of them to give the dead rotting caucus of a team a chance, but no Montoya tried he's best but the team blew as always.

Montoya let in a softie and Graber f'd up a basic put in with a half open net No Mr Grabner you've been awful all season and one solitary 2 goal game out of 15 or so doesn't change that.

Voted none, when you lose there is no player of the game because they are all losers that night.

I thought Bailey had a solid game. He had some confident dekes after he scored.

I know it was a bit of a quick rant but seriously how can any Islander be the player of the game when they lost? Just because one gave a better effort than another doesn't change the fact that for this game they are all losers?

Lets be realistic ... the Av's came out in full force and Montoya made some great saves keeping them in the game. DP would not be as good in that barrage of shots

the 3rd goal was awful but the other 2 were a complete result of our joke of a defense.

So....Montoya played awful or does Rick play as well as Monty?

Montoya has been superb. No team, no help (or little.....the D helped him a few times thankfully) and he's s poised - it must just irritate the living **** out of you.

When Rick plays as well as Monty, I'll say so with ease. I want him to have a good (final) year with the Isles.

Monty clearly was the one shining star. Martin got a close second for fulfilling the lacking Gilles/protection role for line 1's star player.

its a pretty frustrating situation. But there are some positives and we are trying to give credit to the islander highlights within yesterdays game. There was a noticable improvement on the nielsen line as well as the bailey line. Rather I should say; in the first two periods those lines were playing well. Grabs was all over the ice (missed a lot though) and montoya recorded well over 40 saves...lets just not talk about the last period!

I seriously thought Bailey looked good most of the time he was on the ice, so I voted for him.

And who is this "Mouslon" you speak of?
