Isles won't do it. Okposo is a big player for them, won't be leaving for Aulie who's finding his way in the AHL right now and Lombardi who's been quiet offensively
Too bad NYI laughs and then pukes and then laughs again.
But yeah, I'd keep KO if i was the Islanders.
Well if you would want Schenn were pretty much only interested in Tavares and givin the fact that NYI could use a good franchise D men and a first wouldnt be too bad I dont think its terrible..but I dont think they would agree to it anyway. But Okposo for Schenn? that is laughable.
If NYI continues to flounder, and is looking at moving Okposo, or perhaps at the deadline if they are not in the race.
To TOR:
Kyle Okposo
To NYI:
Matthew Lombardi
Keith Aulie
2nd 2012
Work for anyone? Better suggestions to get Okposo in blue and white?
It doesn't come close to working for me.Is 23 yr old KO too old for Snow's youth movement?
Is KO's $1m salary breaking the bank for Wang?
Isles have a log jam at forward with Nino coming back in a few days.No interest in Lombardi. They also have Ciskas/Ullstrom knocking on the door at Bridgeport.
I think Snow would prefer to let De Haan,Donovan,Ness and Katic keep developing and fight it out in training camp, for any open roster spots instead of moving KO and having Aulie as the key return.De Hann and Donovan have top 4 potential.
That 2nd?Meh.The isles have TON of unproven prospects.Zero interest in a 2nd, that will likely not contribute for 3-5 yrs.
Don't know about the deal in the OP, but I do know that each of Burke, Wilson and especially Gordon have worked with Okposo before.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Leafs would like to target him for the right price.
Considering the Isles are having woes on the blueline, there's fair reason to believe that TOR and NYI could be logical trade partners, despite being in the same conference.
Throw in some transferring of contracts to make things bigger and it could get interesting.

I figured it made sense too, which is exactly why I said there could be better deals to get him in blue and white.
