BTW, did anyone else hear Girardi say that he looked at the sky just like Dubi did when Dubi scored...he was thrilled for Dubi.

Pretty good game even though it was close until the 3rd.

Gaborik's line was pretty great even though they didn't score. Ward was excellent until the Girardi goal and then fell to pieces.

Nice to see Richards getting some points...pretty much the kind of game I expect out of him. Makes good players, gets some good chances, makes some good chances, great pass on the PP and then worked hard to get that Cam Ward gimme

6 in a row, good stuff, especially since the Rangers play so few games...not playing again until Tuesday? bahhh

Gave it to Avery, Dubi, and Girardi. For the reasons already mentioned. G especially is playing absolutely phenomenal hockey.

Other notes:
-Hank made key saves, solid if unspectacular performance.
-Gabby is still in beast mode.
-Richards' pass to Girardi was a thing of beauty. Noone on our squad last year makes that.

I don't see why he wouldn't. He's still a franchise cornerstone and he's been wearing it since last season.

Why not? Whomever is wearing the A for staal right now is only a temporary A. IMO.

1) Avery
2) Sauer
3) Gaborik

Sauer was a beast tonight. Nothing flashy. The canes tried time and time again to beat him to the outside, and he played the angles perfectly.

And Avery was responsible for two goals and drew two minors. Not bad for a guy who wasnt good enough to make the team.

Finally, Gaborik is just a joy to watch. He does not screw around. He's going to light it up this season.

So anyone else think Torts may go nuts and keep the lines the same way they ended this game?

I mean it worked and all but Avery and Feds between Richards full time can't happen

OT: Maybe I am late to the party, or maybe I am missing the joke. But that isn't Stepan in your avatar, right?

Yea definitely not him haha. But after I put it up a few years back he took off at the WJCs so I never changed it.

Fair enough, didn't know if I was missing some connection and it was McD...

Regardless, Stepan had a great game tonight.

Great, great win.

The best part about this for me was that Stepan, Anisimov and especially Gaborik were taking over the game at times, just couldn't beat a fantastic goalie in Ward.

An underrated aspect of this streak is that they've beaten some real good goalies playing very well during it. Hiller, Price, Pavelec and Ward played great in those games and still came up short.

Great to see Dubinksy and Girardi get on the board. Dubinsky has been coming on strong lately and really deserved one tonight.

I did think Del Zotto was fighting it most of the game though, so hopefully he'll bounce back on Tuesday.

Dubi, Avery, Girardi. HM: Hank

So glad Dubi finally potted one. I felt a big weight was lifted off my shoulders, so I can't imagine how he felt, but I can guess from the look on his face. Stache power!

That was a fun game to watch.

It's only fitting to play the Isles for our 7th win in a row. Get it done! LGR!

6 in a row, awesome! Pretty good team play, especially since we are missing our commander on the blue line.
