Bump since he's being re-assigned to Rochester now that Kaleta is back (per Ruff in tonight's post-game).

What did everyone think of his four games?

Loved it. Milkbag showed exactly what I was looking for and gives them a solid energy option if/when needed. It wouldn't surprise to see him use this as a boost when he gets back to Rochester. He played to his strengths and didn't look at all out of place. And it seems some of the underrating of Tropp 'round WNY will now be done.

He was very solid and it was good experience for the kid. Now he can go back to Rochester refine his game and we'll see him either next year or the next call up.

When Kaleta gets injured again (it's inevitable given his history and style of play), I hope Tropp gets the call again. Slid right in and didn't look out of place at all.

Kid has a future as a 4th line agitator.....with some possible ceiling as a 3rd liner.....

He played well, but I'd like to see more offense from him. I think he can be a 3rd liner if he improves in that department.

Two points (1 + 1) in 32 ES mins is pretty darn good, especially when playing with 4th line linemates. We got two fourth line goals in four games while he was there. I thought he did a great job with the role he was asked to play.

Liked Tropp's game. Good energy guy. Seems like he's always trying to create a: scoring chance, big hit, turnover, or defensive play. Never coasted or took a shift for granted.

That being said, bring back Kaleta. He usually changes the complexion of games. That is a needed asset, along with another stong PK'er.

He looked pretty offensively competent to me. I saw more than just an energy guy.

Tropp played like a beast while he was up here it's unfortunate he got sent back to Rochester. I thought Ellis would of been the odd man out(I believe he's on a Two-way Contract for this Season alone). I see Tropp as a Bottom Six type Player for Year's to come with the Sabres.

Yes.

Tropp was given limited ice time with no special teams time.

Kaleta gets a LOT of PK time and is trusted out there defensively.

Tropp reminded me a bit of Varada with worse hands but better wheels. He looks NHL ready. If only we had a one-dimensional player like Jason Dawe who wasn't really producing, to move out to make room for him

He'll be a bottom-6 fixture here for years like Matty said. And players like him and Kaleta and Gaustad in your bottom 6 are what you need to succeed where it matters - the playoffs. Definitely happy with what I saw.
