The efforts been fine lately but its been too often that we have givrn up points. I really hope that changes because I think we are a team who will need all the points we can get
We hold the Capitals to only 20 shots, and still give up 3 goals? I didn't think we were gonna win either, but then I saw the Islanders beat them, and I figured I could stop worrying as much. This is gonna be a long road trip, and I hope it doesn't go as bad as the last one.
A plus though at least I can go next weekend to both the game In TB, and the one in South Florida vs Deboer's old team. Also flying in the a few hours before the next time they play at home against Columbus, and a couple Isles games both at home, and on the Island! Pretty excited for that at least, but I hope we survive this road trip.
You sat in clubs and thats what you pigged out on!?!
Hey I've never sat in club seats before. What kinda unlimited food do they give you? Probably a stupid question, but is it just wings, chicken tenders, fries, and stuff? Or like steak, seafood? Maybe some lobster? Haha probably not that last one!
I've walked by the bar where they served the food, but never really checked out what they had. If the food is real good I'm thinking of splurging, and getting those seats for the experience. Don't know if my buddy will wanna drop $250 on a seat though. I remember sitting in those seats facing the ice in the Meadowlands, and how cheap they were. Even had season tickets a few years in some of those seats.
Lamb roast they got? What's a hot dog nugget? Is that like a pig in a blanket or something? How about shrimp, clams, sushi? Am I absurd to even think they might serve that in there?

This was like 4 years ago, I don't know what they serve in there anymore.
Hot dog nuggets are like tiny corndogs. They definitely had sushi and I assume they still have it now, the rest, I don't remember. May have had shrimp but that'd probably be a circus.

And my $250 dollar ticket will buy me unlimited amounts? If I'm paying $250 a seat it better come with unlimited food, and I better get to sit right behind the Devils bench, and give advice to the players, and coaches. Or I'll just stick with my section 13, or section 6 like I had the first season there! Those tickets were expensive enough too, but only half for what they want for the premium seats.

Yes, and it's glorious. Sushi, burgers, cake, cheesesteaks. I eat 3 men's food in one sitting. I am a fatty on the inside.
Observations from the period and a half I saw before I went out drinking:
-Carter, for a dude on waivers, is awesome. I love his line with Teddy and the Tard, and he just plays well. Lubs him <3
-Elias is the best LWer on this team until Zajac gets back and re-fires Zachy poo.
-We can shoot and shoot but we'll rarely score a goal.
-Looks like I'm glad I went out drinking while we were up 1-0.
First 2 Periods were great. Larssons first goal (YEAH) and pressure without an end.
Totally dominated game by the Devils.
They could have make the game decided by then, they could easily go up with 4 goals into the 3rd...
3rd period was not bad, but washington got a bit lucky here and there....and turned the momentum.
Good game by the 3rd Line again! Really growing!
Anyway, tonight its time for revenge!

If I'm paying 250 dollars a ticket, I better be sitting next to the backup goalie on the bench.

Yeah, just about any fast food type thing you can think of - chicken fingers/fries, pizza, hot dogs, cheeseburgers, I think they have popcorn in the third period as well when all the other stuff starts getting put away. They have hot pretzels and a salad bar. They have a snack table of cookies, brownies, cupcakes, etc. Soft drinks are basically water and soda, and the hot stuff like coffee and hot chocolate.
And they have other stuff like the carving stations where they serve the fancier food depending on the day. I've seen ziti, lamb, cheesesteak sandwiches, perogies. The other day at the fire lounge they even had zeppoles Usually I think only the carving stations change depending on the game.
They definitely still have sushi in both lounges, though you better get at it early cause it's gone by the end of the first period. The actual seats where you sit are padded with retractable arm rests and cup holders.

I would find a season ticket holder and get them to purchase clubs for you, they can get it at the cheaper sth prices starting at $131 a seat for the 30th anniversary games. If you really want to experience it, it's probably worth 'that' much, given the seat and the unlimited food/drink. I wound up paying around that much for a seat there the first year, little did I know I'd be getting comp tickets for a game in the clubs each of the last two years
Once again we hit the post and the puck does NOT go in the net. Would've made the score 2-0 and at that time we would've secured the win. Can't forget about the Henrique chance that Vokoun kicked out off the line.
What pisses me off is how winnable that game was. The Capitals impressed me very little. As gic said, we handed them their goals.
The silver lining to that is if we eliminate those mistakes, we win. None of those mistakes were fundamental system errors (coaching) or ones players are going to continue to make (Elias and Larsson will learn).
The only team that's worse fired their coach already
The Blues are only worse percentagewise though, they've scored on 5-47, we've scored on 5-45 in one fewer game...but we've allowed 3 SHG and they've allowed one - so on net, we're actually the worst power play regardless.
My only concern is how we have talked about how limited mistakes will take care of games but we continue to make them in this early season. Hopefully they get taken care of soon because these lost points will bite us back in april
