Then go be a Philadelphia Flyers fan...except they still won't win a Cup, though

I wouldn't.

Not a chance.

The Sabres could use a couple Milan Lucic's on their team.

Seriously?

That's your comeback?

That's almost as embarrassing as the Sabres lack of grit tonight.

False choice. Having a team of class acts does not automatically disqualify you from winning the cup.

Frankly, if Buffalo had "a bunch of dirty players", I would have to serioulsy evaluate my fandom.

Lucic was surprised there wasn't response after his hit on Miller. Says if roles were reversed, Bruins would've responded differently.

All you said amounts to, "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em." And no, I don't want ******* cheapshot artists on the roster. If you like those players, go be a Flyers or Pens fan. I'll even order your Matt Cooke or Max Talbot jersey for you!

Yuck. How deplorable. Lucic was expecting to get decapitated there, but there was nothing more than whimpering.

who cares about them responding to the miller hit. In a sense kaleta's check on chara was not exactly wimpy. This game was about our top line not being able to get to the net.

Are you drunk?

We gave up 6 goals.

Showed no heart.

No. What this is about is the Sabres didn't answer the bell against a team that ran their supposed star goalie. They showed a complete lack of having a spine.

Even those "classy" Detroit teams that won Cups had players that would drop the gloves and get after a team if they had to.

The Sabres definitely could use a couple of chippy forwards that actually have talent and play with an edge.

We'd better hope that, in the next year or two, Kassian helps us out in that category because it is desperately needed.

G-
the first few minutes of the 1st
Bruins overall, played and executed almost perfectly. Impressive.

B-
The response by the Sabres after the hit
Even Lucic, said in the post game he was surprised no one went after him
Defense, wow, worst defensive game of this early season so far
Not enough offensive pressure
Hanging our goalies out to dry, mostly

U-
Sabres are a physically weak team. Just not enough grit. And no I don't want a bunch of Kaletas either

That was a pretty terrible game. I don't have much else to say about it.

well i am drinking some adirondack lager but not planning on getting drunk.

giving up 6 goals means nothing to me. we had a chance to win this game and i never thought that it was going to be because we held onto a one goal lead. i can't only blame the defense.

Nah, the Sabres just need someone like Clarence 'Screaming Buffalo' Swamptown

I don't buy it. Lucic should have been gangbanged by everyone on the ice, but if our guy did it to the opposing goalie, we would all be singing his praise, saying "FINALLY!"

Myers and Sekera were god awful.

Weber needs to play. At worst, he would have fought someone tonight. I'm so pissed off right now I don't even want to go on.

The only thing that will typify your same ol' Buffalo sat/sun sports duo will be tomorrows Bills drubbing at the hands of the Cowboys. The Bills are going to get stomped like we did tonight.

Calm down. Sabres were on a back to back, ran out of steam.

I'll say it again, and probably get flamed: We got ran out of HSBC, 5-1, in our first meeting with Boston last year. It's a long season.

(This is not to say I don't think we need to see a fundamental change in the composition of the team. But we will beat Boston at least a couple times this season.)

Our defense committed some mind numbing turnovers or mistakes in coverage that led to almost every goal.

Yet posters are rambling on about how are forwards aren't big enough or tough enough to win a Cup. I have no idea if they are tough enough to win a Cup. But that had little to do with the loss tonight. Is a bigger/tougher forward on the ice going to stop Myers from doing what he did on the first 2 goals? Or what Ehrhoff did on the 3rd goal? No would be the answer

I'm not sure if they need a change in composition. They're not playing close to their potential right now. That's the main thing.

They need another defensive dman in the top 4. I'm not talking about Weber.

I don't think so. I think they're just playing like **** as a collective unit. Regehr/Myers need to be reunited and leaned on as the top pair, and the rest needs to settle itself out behind them. I don't think we need another body just yet.

And to all the peacemakers, save it, please. All Sabres fans have every right to be pissed off about a game like this. You can argue what aspects of the game are valid or invalid to complain about, but telling people to "relax" after a game like this is bordering on trolling. And far past irritating and annoying at this moment in time.

This game blew. Blew ass.
