The signing definitely has potential to be a steal. He's young enough to still improve.

I liked Auld in that he was a good teammate and was not a guy you had to play more than once a month at most, but Budaj is much more talented.

Going to give some credit to Groulx here as well as finally playing behind a decent defensive team unlike Colorado.

they desperately need markov. other teams simply focus on Subban all game long. only in open ice 4 on 4 did he thrive. markov gives the opposition something else they need to focus on - esp. on pp

Montreal seems to have some of the best institutional knowledge at the goaltending position in the league. They were one of the great goalie farms in the league (much like Nashville) until Price's emergence lead them to dis-emphasis goalie procurement.

Yes!!!! We're at .500! Baby steps

Game notes:

- Considering all the injuries. Good game. Cammy and Gomez are still injured. The team grinded it out. I like

- Budaj was SOLID. Rebond control was great, gave nothing.

- Desharnais, Gorges, Budaj were the the best players tonight.

- Gomez played with deseperation, good effort. Is still injured. He needs to grind it out game in, game out.

The silence from Leaf fans that seem to have went back into hiding again now after their great start is nice too.. When the Leafs were in 1st it was intolerable having to listen to them around here.. With the Leafs struggling things are back to normal around here again..

What an exciting hockey game.

Awesome snipe by Patches. Subban with the beauty feed. Great all around game by every Hab on the ice tonight. Thanks Gill for saving our ass on the PK.

Really, really enjoyed this win.

I want to see this team healthy I think we are better than our record indicates.

**** I'm stoked about this one!

Or rather, when Price gets injured...

Then again, the Habs goalie coaches usually communicate better with the other Habs coaches than the goalie coaches on other teams.

Habs now 6-3-1 in last 10 games. These two road wins in OT were just what the doctor ordered.

Tampa Bay looking like they'll lose tonight. A lot of teams ahead of the habs losing tonight. Makes tonight's victory even sweeter. Habs also have 2 games in hand on Ottawa and one on Toronto.

Still early buddy and it's been a weird early season. We're back baby. Just need to keep getting bodies back.

Wasnt a very exciting game but a strong road win. I still dont like the powerplay as its completely ineffective. Honestly i liked the brief stint Spacek was there while Pleks was injured last game over everything we've seen from Plekanec on the point this year.

Budaj was very solid which is surprising considering the lack of playing time.

Cole was less noticeable tonight but still good.

Gomez looked decent imo especially coming off injury.

How does "still early" have anything to do with my post?

Good news is they are winning despite having a pathetic PP too.. If they can get the PP going it would be huge since their 5 on 5 play as been much better this year.

I was agreeing with you man! It's still early in the season and a lot of the teams ahead of us lost. Like you said. I meant buddy in a friendly way sorry I can see how you misinterpreted that. 100% agree with your post.
