I think it's one of two possibilities:
- further tests need to be done
- 3-5 days

Edit: Oh it actually says "more"... hm, probably further tests needed then, could be serious.

It's rather funny to me how we have seen players entering "contract years" with the Kings, thinking they'll do their best to perform at a high level to increase their salary demands in the off-season, only to see players suffer from setbacks, whether it be injuries or their inability to produce.

It's happening this season with Stoll and Penner, last season it was Ponikarovsky and Handzus (who played rather well but not as good as 2009-10), and before that it was Frolov.

Well, at least I won't have to listen to tools yelling at him every 10 seconds in the stands for a while.

Bummer. I was hoping he'd be a useful player for us this season. There's still time, but this is not going well for him. Terry Murray: The contract year killer.

Probably Jordan Nolan or King.

Hell i'd go for ANYONE getting called up.

If I have to stare at Drewiske playing wing one of these games instead of someone like Nolan, Cliche, King, or Lokti getting called up I will go to DL/TMs house and punch them in the throat when they answer the door.

Nolan has missed the last two Monarchs games... Injured? Healthy Scratch? They're rotating in like 3 or 4 extra players... very crowded roster.

Seriously. How motivated do you think it makes this guy when he is up in the press box and hears cheers when he is out injured.

Pathetic.

Penner has put 200% more effort in from last season, and while he doesn't have the points to show for it his play has been much much improved. People just need a whipping boy. I am not saying Penner hasn't set himself up for it given his last season stumble...but c'mon guys....

Send a message via ICQ to Sydor25
Kings should call up Elkins, Moller or Holloway.

Ignorant people just really piss me off.

Classless and embarrassing.

Get well Dustin! Not all kings fans are stupid and insensitive.

Will Lombardi surprise us and actually call up Loktionov? Probably not considering he and Murray are so adverse to playing Loktionov on wing, but they need some type of offensive player to step into that role, and Richardson is not the answer.
It's funny. When I was at Frozen Fury this year I saw Lombardi eating at the MGM food court and we had a conversation about Lotki. I was talking about all the depth at center and asking when he thought Lotki was going to have a legit shot at grabbing a roster spot. He said "Lotkionov will be a winger." Then I told him how I read some quotes from TM about how he didn't think Lotki was comfortable at wing and was a better center. Lombardi just shrugged and smiled. Take it for what it is.

All the issues of how it may affect him personally aside, what I don't get is why would you cheer that he's out? He plays for the Kings, and the Kings NEED him to regain his scoring touch and produce. Despite the fact that he will likely be replaced in the lineup by the indomitable Trent Hunter or Kevin Westgarth, it's far more likely that Penner finds his scoring touch than those players produce 10 goals combined all year. It's like cheering for the Kings to fail.

because it's just ridiculous. people are ruthless--it's gone much too far. it's so odd to me that the people who pay money to go to the games end up the ones who do **** like that. you'd think people who invest money and time into going to see them play would be above that kind of thing.

I'll admit that I think the "Penner is fat" jokes are funny, even if only for the first 5,000 times you hear them. and that might be because it's poking fun at a symptom of a time when he didn't care about the level of effort he was bringing to the ice. but I laughed at the cheering because it's so stupid. the guy worked his ass off over the summer, and it's not for a lack of trying (most of the time and at least lately, anyway) that he hasn't been producing. but when the guy gets hurt and people are cheering about it, all I can do is laugh because otherwise the guys in red suits might have thrown me out of staples for punching one of the people cheering in the face. so don't worry, I'm not an *******.
