Thörnberg - Persson - Fasth
Harju - Zackrisson - Jämtin
Andersson - Warg - Hannula

Let the five other forwards alternate.

Fernholm - Petrasek
Bäckman - Kronwall
Brodin - Karlsson
Dahlbeck

Getting named for the Karjala tournament was amost like a curse, loads of injuries and replacements. Sundh and Falk deserved a chance I think.

Just a very short preview of the tournament, as I went and checked out the Tre Kronor practice this evening.

Not too much to say about this game. Wessleau let him some crappy goals. Nedved is definitely a beast. Brodin plays like a man, he'll be awesome at the WJC. Järnkrok was alright but was physically outmatched. The lack of Silfverberg on his wing is apparent.

#71 Jonas Andersson was clearly the best Swedish player, he keeps impressing me every time I see him, which however isn't very often (only when he plays for Tre Kronor). Can't believe this guy was pretty much unknown to like 98% of all Swedish hockey fans until just a couple years ago.

I couldn't really be bothered with the first two games.. boring atmospheres, a defensive Czech team and a lackluster Russian team vs a bad Swedish team.

This one is actually hockey and worth watching. Great atmosphere, good Finnish team vs good Swedish team and a lot of heart involved in every situation. For all I care I'd say good riddance to EHT and play back-to-back games vs Finland instead, one home and one away Friday/Sunday.

Agreed, I wouldn't mind some hockey finn-kamp thing I only watched bits of the first two games, which were awful, but this one is definitely worth watching. This is how this tournament should be played, sadly it seems difficult to get the players motivated enough against Czech Republic and the Russian powerhouse.

Happy ending eh? Good for Gustafsson, he could've easily been rattled but stood tall.

CSKA Moscow, KHL. Hopefully the goons in Vityaz will hand him a beating.
