I didn't like the signing at first but I pretty much hated him from the penguins. Now I think he is awesome and it was a great signing. Funny how some of your most hated players fan instantly become favorites when they are on your team haha.

Talbot Providing Flyers With Much More than Expected

When the Philadelphia Flyers inked forward Maxime Talbot to a five-year, $9 million free agent contract in July, it seemed that he got caught in the cross-fire of Pennsylvania’s ever-volatile hockey rivalry – it seemed that fans from neither side in the Keystone Klash had anything good to say about the 5′ 11″, 190-pound centerman.

(sipping unsweetened Nestea iced tea and munching a Tastykake jelly krimpet--yum!) I still can't get past him "shhh-ing" the crowd during our playoff series against the Penguins. What an a--hole. Just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Oh well.

$0.02 [my two cents]

It was the Wachovia Center crowd back then

should be easier to forget about that as he keeps scoring for philly, playing great on the pk, being a top notch team guy, and hopefully turning it up in the playoffs like he normally does.

Seems like they tried to take your advice. Briere and Giroux were getting tossed out of the circle constantly tonight.

Obviously my point went over your head. The difference between deadlast at that point of the year and first was less then 4%. Now the gap is a bit wider, but the Flyers are at 47%, and not last, although close.

I also doubt Nashville trades Smithson as they are at 48% only.

Konopka is the only guy I see acquireable, and even then, not sure Ottawa will trade him unless they get overpayment. It's highly beneficial to have good face-off guys with a crappy young team. Gives you a bit more of a chance.

Obviously I'm not saying having a better FO guy is great, but who do you see acquirable of the list you mentioned, or of the guys in the league that fit your outrageous 55-65% criteria? There are only a handfull of players that good on the draw, and not many play 4th line.
