I love how everyone was having a good laugh on the bench after Vanek scored in the SO. Boyes gives him a little "oh you sly dog you.." point.

And if it isn't Sekera, it's Leopold. Outside of the Jets game, Regehr's been it for solid play on the back end over the course of the season.

The third period
Not losing in OT during that penalty on the dive

B:
The first half of the game

U:
Price's groin after Boyes deaked himout of his jockstrap

Sick:
Vanek in shoot outs. No wonder he can't buy a penalty shot when he get's hauled down.

I didnt think the game was THAT poorly played as people have mentioned. We were out shot in the first but we didn't play that bad. Both teams had minimal chances, it was pretty even. Mtl played better in the second than we did, but it was domination. Domination was in the 3rd period by the sabres though. 7-0 in shots through 10 minutes and able to tie the game after being down 2. Overtime was even as well. it wasnt out A game, but it was a good enough effort for the win

Great: The Sabres are tied for most wins in the league.

(Chicago and Dallas also have 11 wins right now)

Why are you complaining about the coverage by VS Chainshot? The Sabres brought this upon themselves by their actions against the Bruins and surprisingly timid play tonight especially early in the game. I really expected the Sabres to come out and hit everything they saw and they didn't. Very surprising to say the least, I'm glad they won for Enroth though he's really turning into a fantastic goalie for the future of this team once they trade Miller.

Because VS hasn't been playing against montreal the past few years. They gave advice based upon some kind of rave girl bathroom excitement.

no kidding

"Win this team wins, rarely. They win by a goal and have to go to a shootout to get a win. Better off tanking the rest of the season, clean house and start over. I couldn't be bothered watching this sap of a team anymore."

The third period showed me a lot. A LOT. Short bench, Roy as the #1 center flanked by the top two wingers, and GGK producing mayhem. After last game, down two after two this game, they could've folded it in. Props to them.

Boyes, per Pierre, was vocal in the players-only meeting. He didn't play much in the third but was ready when called upon in the shootout. I liked that a lot.

-Myers, man I barely even NOTICED him tonight. I think that's a good sign for a young D-man.
-Enroth is something else. Just a stud.
-Vanek may be the best shootout guy in the league these past 2 seasons. What happened to the confidence issues that used to plague him?
-Goose may have been undisciplined but in the grand scheme of things, him setting a tone is more important than one game.
-Kaleta is a difference maker.
-Gerbe as well.
-Glad Ruff chose Boyes for the shootout. Nice call.
-Regehr had 2 or 3 jarring hits and was solid for most of the night. Loved seeing him pinch a few times in the offensive zone.
-Roy's getting underrated suddenly
B:
-Leino frustrates me
-Grags in general

Am I the only one who thinks Roy was having a pretty rough game in the first two periods?

Good: Weber tied Regehr for the team lead in blocked shots with four.
He was second in hits with six (Gaustad had seven).

Ugly: Weber had six times the amount of hits Gragnani has had in his 16 games this season (a whopping one) in this game alone.

once again, good statistical contribution. Though i do have a feeling that Gragnani hasn't even gotten his feet wet.
