Here's hoping for a great start and that we'll keep our focus...7 in a row would be epic !

I went through a bit of ranger hockey withdrawal. I think the Rangers are getting better every game and not the same team that showed up at that glorified tattoo parlor earlier in the season.

Plus with such young defensive stalwarts as Steve Staois and Mike Mottau that defense is leakier than the Mausoleums roof.

if it isnt a rain out I predict lucky number 7

Yes, sports is different, but if anything the streak will increase chances of winning. The guys know Islanders are tough against us, they won't be surprised just because of the winning as of late.

It's fun to read all the predicted losses that started popping up after like two wins. Yeah, sure, we won two, but we're gonna lose the third... no, the fourth, no the fifth, no the sixth... aw, damnit. Predicting every game to be a loss you're bound to be correct at some point, it doesn't make you a soothsayer, though. That's the way psychics do it - they're right once in a thousand times, still some people give them credit for it.
I predict losses because when I predict a loss, the team wins. When I predict a win, they lose. Why do you think we're on a 6 game win streak!?

My "gut" feels like we're gonna win this one tonight. They will step up their game for a rival, of course--but I feel like we'll win by 2 or 3 goals.

And no, I'm not afraid of jinxing it!

Only way they lose this game is if they decide to take the night off.

The Isles, as we all know, always turn superhuman against us. Gotta play a full 60.

And for the love of ****ing christ, shutdown PAP!

Since my girlfriend and I moved in together, Rangers have won every game so far, and this is after two games we went to together last year they lost. Let's keep it going and get that 7th win. LGR!

Maybe you should ask her to marry you--we may get the Cup then.

Must be nice... My wife is a Canes fan. I say shes back luck when i talk to her during Ranger games. I was watching the NYR/CAR game the other night, by myself. We were up. She sat down in the room with me--Carolina was making a game out of it. She left to put the boys to bed, we ran away with the rest of the game. SOMEHOW she thinks its all coincidence....

Have fun with your 6-0 win tonight. We'll be lucky if the Isles even come out swinging their handbags at your team but more likely than not they will roll over like the ***** team that they are.

I'm surprised no one is complaining that Avery is going to get more ES time then Cally.

Glad he's back in Blue. Proving a lot of people wrong right now.

Classic let down game, I don't care if the Isles are 1-6-3 in their last 10 they always play the Rangers like the world is going to end tomorrow if they lose.

Still a very winnable game but the Rangers HAVE to be prepared for that onslaught to come.

Let's get it to 7 and keep rolling.

Exactly...I expect the Isles to come out freakin' hard. Rangers can't sleep through this one.

Pumped for this one. Let's get a W!

Just checked out the Isles gdt. That board is in a worse state than this one was seven games ago. Everyone's standing on a cliff, practically ready to jump off. I almost felt bad for them.

The Rangers are doing it right. Top notch management/facilities, great coaches and important Free agent signings and veterans who lead on the ice showing the young players how it is done in the NHL.
funny how about 2 weeks ago everyone on this board hated sather and tortorella....

you guys are playing well....cant say im happy to see it, but the second you guys drop 3 or 4 in a row (not saying its gonna happen) everyone will be calling for their heads again

4-2 islanders....just because the law of averages?

A lot of us are still not praising Tortorella. Sweeping, exaggerated generalizations are rarely rooted in accuracy. Please, go ahead and show us all these guys that changed their minds. There's probably a few, but that's far from all of us or "everyone" as you put it.

There's likely the same fluctuations at every board, including your own.

The lines will change five minutes in anyway. Strange lineup though.

i will change my comment from everyone to many of you...either way that was not my point....simply do not get too high with the highs and too low with the lows.....its is roughly 14-16 games into the season....this is why i am not jumping off a cliff yet, although i sure do not like the start my team is off to

So I guess Stralman won't see any ice time until some really messes up?

If it aint broke don't fix it.

Torts said he wants him to get comfortable in the system and to work on his conditioning. I think that's fair. They are lucky enough to have 7 d-men right now and there really isn't that big of a difference between Stralman, Eminger and Woywitka so let him get some chemistry in practice first.

Give me a break... There's no need for you to tell us how to react.

6 in a row is one of our best streaks in a long time and this team looks very good (as a lot of us expected).

Go back to your board if you want to whine about how happy we are with our current winning streak. You don't see me coming over to yours telling you guys you should be more worried than a lot of you are.

Because fact is, your teams in dead last and our team is going for first.

LOL seriously, the guy came peacefully and is only saying what millions of posters (Rangers fans posters) have said about this board. This place is notorious for the highest of highs and lowest of lows.
