Voracek especially. He was all over the ice. Back-checking several times in big situations. If he plays like this constantly we have ourselves a steal of a trade!

Voracek needs to work on his shot, but its great to see his speed and passing do some damage

You didn't hear what he said in the post game? He said with my shot you think pass first.

Hell of a goal by Read. Gotta learn to brace yourself when you hit the boards though Matt.

so I was having a debate with the GF about the penalty voracek took after skinner shot the puck at kimmo.

Voracek is supposed to go after skinner 100% of the time there correct?

usually they don't call a penalty on a facewash when a puck is shot late especially at a player on a delayed penalty.

I felt like Voracek did the right thing to defend his player. If i was the coach i would want to see that in my players. Coming to the aid of another player shows they really growing and respect each other and they appreciate each other more importantly (they will battle for them no matter what). It might have been a penalty, might not have been, but In my eyes Voracek did what was warranted on the ice at that time.

Yeah, Voracek does the right thing there imo. I think that that is a situation that would usually end up with a pp for us anyway, but even when it won't it's the right thing to do.

“I love to play with him,” Jagr said. “I think he’s the top – I don’t want to say he’s the best right now in the league, but he’s top three for sure. I never thought at the end of my career I was going to play with a guy like that. And that’s what’s made me happy.”

Before the game, Jagr said he predicted Giroux would score a hat trick. He didn’t, but he came very close – scoring two with help from Jagr, and assisting on a third. Chalk that prediction up to Jagr’s hockey sense.

“Twenty years in hockey, I can see things,” he said, grinning.
