The awesome NYR pictures thread

I love photography, and especially sports photography. Came by some nice Sports Illustrated pictures and thought it would be cool if people posted various great photos related to the Rangers.

Montreal center Henri “The Pocket Rocket” Richard skates past Jean Ratelle (No. 19) and Rod Gilbert during a 1967 game between the Rangers and Canadiens.

A referee tries to avoid New York’s Jack Evans and Detroit’s Alex Delvecchio during a 1957 game at Madison Square Garden. (Hy Peskin/SI)

Why was the glass so short way back when?

Better view for the fans.
Also, there was much less danger of pucks leaving the ice surface back then, playing with straight stick blades meant players hardly lifted the puck off the ice surface. Slap shots were also not used. As stick technology and shot techniques advanced, so did protective equipment for goalies, players, and fans.

Some of those seating views look awful.

Interesting that the players hair is in place. Nice and gelled. Not a single strand out of place. I guess they didn't break a sweat. lol

Awesome thread lebear.

Some of these pictures are just spectacular. I'm scheduling a meeting with my computer guys anyway. I'm sure they can show me some cool stuff I can use on these photos.

How about pictures of notable players that only had a "cup of coffee" with the Rangers? In a Ranger jersey of course. Such as:
