I know you're the biggest Holloway homer here, but the Kings aren't required to give him a "decent offer." He has done jack **** in his career. The Kings have no incentive whatsoever to pander to the monetary demands of what amounts to a career AHLer to this point. It's his own fault if he wanted to chase money instead of a chance to play in the NHL.

The Kings weren't willing to guarantee him a spot on the NHL roster which is the only way Holloway could have made the kind of money he is making in Europe.

I don't blame him. However, it would be incorrect to say that the Kings didn't make him an offer that would have paid him a substantial sum of money if he was playing in the NHL. He just didn't want to sign another two-way contract and took the sure thing instead.

When/if he comes back he will have some catching up to do.

Your right on but if you look at it from the players side it is just a maybe compared to a salary that is guaranteed and is just as big as a entry level NHL contract.We all know maybes dont pay the bills.
