It doesn't really matter but... why wasn't there a faceoff at the end?
I thought of that on the spot too, but then I realized that it's because we played an amateur squad, so why stick with real NHL rules. You do realize that it wasn't the real Richards, Girardi, Lundqvist, etc out there, right? It was guys from a beer league wearing their favorite players' jerseys.
Real NHLers don't play either for or against the Islanders.
yeah def agreed, although its way too early to predict any of it but it most certainly looks like itll be that way. lets not forget the devils and islanders we have to respect them. i think our division teams 1-5 has been the deepest divison since the lockout regardless of the 1 bad phily season, nj last year and the isles. the isles i think would finish way better if they were in a diff division. the atlantic division year in and out is always one of the toughest in the league. when sid comes back its just gonna be that much harder to keep up with them. i am very interested if philly can keep pace with what they are doing right now. i really didn't think they would be this good this early, i think as the season grinds on a slip in team play probably most liekly will happen (i hope so). but great point you make about the atlantic divison. itll be nice to see the devils finish 8th for once and the rangers finish top 4.
The Islanders may wind up with a top-3 pick this year just because the division they are playing in is so difficult. They are second in points right now, though I don't see them as the second worst team in the league.
