This years winter classic jersey

BTW for people wanting Black the NHL has been running a promotion of Black Ice Jersey's I don't know for what or for how long. But they've been all over the Flyers page as well as a bunch of other promotional ads

I wouldn't mind a black third, but I definitely don't want them to return to black as the primary home color. I think the Orange Out effect during the playoffs is really cool. Not to mention black jerseys are, unfortunately, becoming way to commonplace.

The black jerseys are probably the most boring style the Flyers ever wore. I really love the old 1970s jerseys and so I am loving their current sets. I hope they never bring back the black.

Why not dark blue? The Blue Jackets, Blues, Predators, Panthers, and Penguins are all using them!

I'd like to see a jersey with really heavy orange and black, like some of the apparent winter classic ones we've seen

Yeah call me crazy but I really like the proposed WC jerseys.

And unfortunately, we will never be graced with a blue third

And this might get some heat, and it doesn't really fit in w/ our history, but what about something like a vintage white (that somewhat cream color), with black and orange trim? Haha, it's the only color I can think of that's not orange, or black, or white.

'Black' symbolizes the Flyers the best?

There's a reason why it's the Orange and Black. Not Black and Orange.

The Flyers colors are Orange, Black an White... So he Black Jersey and Black trim is totally legit.

IIRC Blue is a part of all the team colors those teams you mentioned... or, in the case of the Penguins, it once was. Blue was the original Penguin color before they switched to Black, and the color was used in one of their Winter Classic Retro jerseys that was later used as an alternate... as is often the case with WC jerseys.

I doubt very seriously if the Flyers would ever go to a color outside their three colors.

I've heard 'Black and Orange' said quite often... Which one is said before the other isn't important IMO.

Over time I've read so many things on here and didn't even consider it a joke... although it might have been... Nothing surprises me here, and without emoticons denoting otherwise, there is little I assume as jokes.

EDIT: I have to hand it to him if it was a joke... he spent so much time finding and posting all those other teams blue jerseys.

I have always heard orange and black, and thats the way it should be.

I personally liked the old black jerseys, but the orange are so classic, and certainly come playoff time with the entire crowd completely orange the orange jerseys just top it off.... it is definately the best looking crowd/team in all of sports imo

So why are their jerseys predominantly Orange and White?

The Flyers orange is so unique and their jerseys now are perfect. No need to change them or add a black jersey. Ever.

wouldn't mind a black third or winter classic jersey. as some have already said, imagine our current home jerseys with black replacing orange and orange replacing white. add some of that trendy vintage cream and you have a solid winter classic jersey

I have a Flyers Blue jersey, I bought it from River City sports about 12 years ago. It was modeled after the the same jersey's that the flyers were using at the time. the torso was like tarheel blue and the shoulders were navy blue.

I used to see them in the stands every now and then... never knew anyone who wore one though... if I had I would have asked, "Why for the love of all that is Holy... Why... WHY... WHY!?!?".

Now I guess I can ask you................

Yikes.
Please no.

Edit: If they go for a black one, the only style I'd like to see is the one I posted in Jan - here: http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=861027
