Call up MZA and you'll get all the Norwegian newspaper covers, en bloc. Norwegians love their newspapers, and the largest got almost the same circulation as The Post.
You can read them online, with Google translate. Almost the same.

That's not even close to the same.

Okay. Hopefully we get one tomorrow. Nothing happened in sports having anything to do with other NY sports teams right?

Good chance it'll be NBA lockout related, too.

Two words:

Coach K

Won the game at the garden to set the record for all time wins in Div1 NCAA Men's Basketball. That'll no doubt take precedent over the Rangers victory. Won't get it Sunday either with football the next day.

Here's to next week.

ESPN doesn't have it on the front page of the NHL section--just a mention off to the side with 10 other stories.

It's not that it bothers me that much, but can you imagine if the Red Wings (or some other team NHL media loves) had this streak going? ESPN would have it everywhere

Not Newsday today, a preview for Tomorrow night's Jets game got the cover. We got a little blurb in the top right corner, not even a picture -__-

I have ranted and raved about this for years, but to no avail. Pre-lockout, there were times when the Rangers would get on the backpages in the regular season. Now? Forget it, they will put everything and anything on the backpages before the Rangers. I remember specifically back in 2007, the Sunday before the Superbowl. The ONLY games on that night was the Rangers-Bruins game, and Nets game. No Devils, No Knicks, No Giants, Jets, obviously no Mets or Yankees. In fact, not much of anything in the NBA or NHL that night. It was one of the DEADEST sports night I had seen in quite some time. And the Rangers, in the 2nd season of their post lockout revival and doing pretty good at that point in the season, DESTROYED the Bruins 6-1. So I was thinking, perfect time to put the Rangers on the back page for a Monday morning. Nothing going on locally, and the Superbowl talk was already a week old, still a week away, and was already boring and repetitive. Perfect timing for the Rangers to get their only back page headline of the year.

Except for one tiny detail..

Barbaro had been euthanized the same day!!

So, yes..you guessed it folks..a ****ing HORSE got the back page over the Rangers. A ****ing HORSE!! On both the Daily News and the New York Post.

A ****ing horse..and a DEAD one at that!! A HORSE!!

The Rangers can't even get put on the back page during the playoffs anymore. The first 2 years post lockout, they did. But not anymore. Unless of course they blow a 3-0 lead and lose in overtime on a bad play and are on the verge of elimination. That was the ONLY time in the playoffs last year we made the backpage. Not the day the series started. Not after the 1 win at the Garden with Dubi's goal in the closing minutes. And nothing after that awesome comeback win against the Bruins the last week of the season. Nothing. Zilch.

So, in a nut shell...**** *** Daily News and New York Post. We don't need you.

The only way they will get on the back page is if they make the Finals or win the Cup. And even those, I have doubts about!

So the Rangers were the only local team playing last night(well besides the Isles lol).....they beat their divisional rival to extend their winnig streak to 7 games ,and they still don't get the back page with nothing else happening "sports" wise.....That is really Sad.
Did Jeter catch a cold or something to make the back page.

It's really that bad? I remember when I was living in the US and the Rangers had pages in the news a lot. Pre-lock out though.

If we manage to win 10 games in a row we'll make the back page of the post.

I listened to the hockey podcast on ESPN with Burnside, Custance & LeBrun. Hoped to have just a little something about the Rangers. Nope. Nada.

They waffled a bunch about Columbus, Isles, & Calgary. Wowsers - big news there guys. Not like Boston have won 6 in a row and the Rangers 7 in a row or anything.

I guess here in Calgary, scratch that, Canada, we are definitely lucky the amount of coverage we get.

Of course i realize there isn't nearly as much to talk about in Calgary as in New York, but regardless, Flames get front page (of the sports section) of both papers nearly every single time they win, and even when they lose too, heck they even get front page on the entire paper sometimes!

As a ranger fan living in Calgary, and after reading this thread, i feel like the chances of seeing the Rangers streak on the front page of the Calgary Herald is more likely than on the front page of the Post lol, but i bet this wasn't on the front of your sports section on Oct. 21, sure was front page in Calgary sports section

Believe it was after game 4 last year against the Caps. Daily News showed two ranger fans stunned with the caption "Silenced."

Shame on Newsday.

They're "Long Island's newspaper." Owned by the Rangers. Amazing, intense game at the Coliseum with a playoff type atmosphere and it gets a small mention at the top right corner on the back page. What a joke.
