I haven't read it, but the Caps are a darling of the league. For some reason. They've won about as much as us. No one beats them and gets away with it. Psssh.

Also wanted to comment on the TV Timeout last night.

Perfect timing and it truly worked imo. It said attendance was at 14.8K last night, probably cause of the weather but man it was a loud ass crowd. Games like that are special to be at.

I take it back. The Caps crapping the bed in the last 5 might have ruined it for me.

I don't really see the problem with the article. It told the story and had multiple quotes from both coaches and some players. If anything, Boudreau was talking ***** about how they dominated, not the TSN writer.

Yeah, if you're talking about http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=380555 then I don't see where they trash us. I do hate TSN though.

I've heard and read ALOT worse!! Associated Press contributed the story for the site, so to me not much can be directed at the "Toronto Sports Network". Now for coverage from tomorrow's game............

Yeah, but he still showed his awesomeness and both had a lot of chances and generated a lot of chances - just unfortunately they didn't get to the net.

I agree with the tv time out BUT for the second game in a row it seemed that 303 was forcing an ovation at the wrong time. I could understand wanting it for the 1000th game but last night when they originally tried to start one up, well, you can feel it in the arena when one is going to happen, it's not forced and not planned and that's what makes it special, and the first attempt just wasn't right.

With that said, I needed that game hella crazy bad. Work has been brutal and that game kind of made it worth it.

Forgot to mention...There was a "wives of sports stars" category on Jeopardy last night. Of course our Mr. Underwood was an answer (err...question?). It was the hardest question in the category and of course nobody got it right.

Yeah I saw that too. The contestants went all Rick Perry on that one.

I don't think they realize it is a spontaneous thing yet. but I do applaud the fact that they are trying, and no one should really bash them for trying, but rather, if you aren't feeling the ovation (and sat I was not) you don't do it.

They realize. They're at every game, and have been year in and year out. They can get a little "ringmaster" at times, and this was one of those moments. They tried it in the Montreal game too, and it irritated me a little. The ovation has always been something that happens spontaneously, and there's an unspoken understanding of the right time and place for it to happen. To have a whole section just stand up and start clapping, looking from side to side hoping to get the sections next to them to catch on and spread--cheapens it.

I saw that, probably one of three questions I actually got right.

That was a great setup and finish by Erat and Wilson on the 2nd goal.
