An intense low pressure system is expected to develop in Southern Alberta east of Red Deer by Thursday morning. On the northern edge of this system a band of heavy snow will form extending from Grande Cache through the city of Edmonton and surrounding regions to the Lloydminster region. 10 to 15 centimetres of snow is expected by Thursday evening along this band. In addition the system will also generate strong easterly winds. The strong winds combined with falling snow will reduce visibility due to blowing snow.
I'm not scared of snow. But it took me 2 hours to get home from work on Monday when it usually takes 20 minutes. I'm trying to figure out how early I will have to leave to get to the arena on time.

For the game tomorrow, 2hrs early would be a good choice, that's what I plan to do.

People driving near or above the speed limit cause a lot more accidents than those driving 20 under when it's snowing. There is a reason they say drive for the conditions not the speed limit.

Driving Scared and Driving off the traffic flow causes accidents, generally being inattentive.

I'm talking about conditions like Tuesday. Where roads were legitimately bad. Trust me, for the most part the people speeding caused the accidents, not those driving slower.
I think in less than normal weather conditions is ok to be cautious and be 5-10 km under the speed limit, but when ppl are over cautious/scared and drive 20+ km slower it causes traffic to be at a stand still.

This past Tuesday? I drove the Roads ALOT, from 50th street, south of the Yellowead, to Westlock and back, and yeah, not a big deal. I take HWY 28 in, again, no problem at all.
Except for an ***hole in Cube Truck, who decided he wasn't turning at the right spot and pulled in front of me.

Last night coming home on 21 some arsehole decided to swing into my lane. Im doing 100 hes doing 40. Btw this arseole only got upto 60 for 5 kms and then i turend off. Its arseholes like that that cause more accidents than people going fast

Certainly, that is one of the worst things you can do. I'm talking about when its snowing onto ice. I wasn't clear enough earlier. Normal snow is fine. People are way too scared of it. However, when the conditions call for you you should drive a bit slower.
I took 21 on monday after work and between Fort Sask and the Henday it didn't get above 50km/h nor should it have, what a nightmare. I can only hope today won't be as bad, but it looks like it will be.
