We signed Gallagher so he can hit the post every time he shoots?

Great news...he is on pace to break all sorts of records in the WHL? Hopefully he can have an impact with us soon!

By the time Christmas roles around, he should be playing on the Habs. In am sure we will go through our AHL and ECHL team with all the injuries we have had this season.

God, I hope not. Can we let him develop, and at least let him play in the World Juniors first, before calling him up to the AHL?

Anyway, they couldn't. He can't play in the AHL until next year or until his team is eliminated.

“I would like to thank the Montreal Canadiens for taking a chance on me and believing in me,” Gallagher said in a release. “I’m very excited to sign my first pro contract, which puts me one step closer to realizing my dream of playing in the NHL. This would not have happened without the support of my family, my many teammates over the years, the coaching staff in Vancouver led by Don Hay, and the rest of the Giants organization.”

Love it.

He's like a Brad Marchand minus the puke attitude.

The last player that left me that kind of impression after a training camp was Plekanec. Of course that doesn't mean that he is bound to be as good ... but he left us wanting for more. special player.

Future top six:

Pacioretty - Eller - Kristo
XXXXX - Leblanc - Gallagher

Now Timmins, Gauthier and the Habs brass: PLEASE DRAFT ANOTHER STUD LEFT WINGER LIKE PACIORETTY AND WE ARE SET ON BOTH WINGS FOR THE NEXT 5 TO 7 YEARS AT LEAST.

That's a terrible and unrealistic top 6. But yea good to get the ELC out of the way. It was bound to happen before the WHL season was over.

Do you realize other teams have players drafted in the last 3 drafts outplaying all of those 5 players? How is that being set?

Good for him. He was probably always told he was a longshot and now he has an NHL contract. He was the best player game-to-game in the preseason. Everyone else seemed to love him and really want him to get that goal. He's the type of player that will make his linemates work harder.
